Photoshoot of my Z :) Also Calendar?
I did a photoshoot this weekend of my Z with a friend and one of his models. I was talking to him, and we are thinking of putting together a Z and a G35 or just a Z calendar. This would be a June 2007 to Jan 2009 calendar. I wanted to get input on people in the Mid-Atlantic area to see if anyone would be interested in having their Z or G in the calendar. I would be getting the models together and I have a professional photographer. (He did the pictures of my car, but its his first car shoot. He will be doing more in the future.) For this calendar, I would have a pre-photo shoot first in a couple months, then pick out a bunch of the cars for the final photo-shoot. After the photoshoot I would have the calendar online for people to buy.
Input or ideas anyone? Also let me know what you think of the pictures. I think he needed to do more pics of the car as a whole and not just focus on the model.

I don't see what's wrong w/ the model, aside from not being JDM.

OMFG, you guys are too funny hahahahaha! I love the plain ole blunt comments, no one even tries to water anything down. However, I like bonusfrag's artistic comment, i bet none of you guys thought of it like that.
Critique of ArtWork: Like what MI 35th said, less chick more Z. Chicks can be a tasteful addition but not the main attraction. I think the red of her sweater is what's throwing everything off. The blend between the dark greens/blues/blacks meshes well with one another... but then you throw in pale white skin, bleach blonde hair, and red sweater, it simply draws your eye OFF the car and onto the model (unless of course you intentionally wanted the model to be the center of attention.)
Next time: Daytime pics! No more 5pm shoots! =P

Mid-A Calendar is a cool thought, but you've got to get at least 18 cars + 18 models for the shoot. I don't think I've seen 18 cars from the Mid-A converge at a meet to date. Maybe I'm wrong?

one thing about shooting a black car is that it's pretty tricky. you definitely need the right lighting for the shots to turn out good. also once you get the correct lighting you have to worry about things like shadow casting. for example you don't want shots where the models face has shadows across it from other surrounding objects or where her shadow is being cast on the car. lighting and angles are everything.
it's also more difficult with black because body kits tend to not show up as well since the color is so dark. but one advantage is that shadows being cast on the car are less obvious. so it requires extra special attention. i would also say you should make sure the models outfit coordinates well with the color of the car. when i did my shoot a while back we decided to go with colors that would complement red or that were simply red. with lighter colors it's easier to get away with outfits the same color as the car as long as there are some accents in there. good luck!

Just to let you know, I agree about the model. My buddy has much better models then this. I will be posting here in a couple months or so to see who is interested in doing a practice shoot on their cars. Between now and then, my friend will be doing a few more practice shoots on my car with his models.
