Judging from the list of names there I would say that Lee is fast... I wish we had some local competition in BS for Lee (I am not competition for Lee) to really gauge the car against...
A few of those guys are active racers up here in Central PA (Jason, Sam, Michael). I think Jason was a national champion or was in the top 3 this past season.

I just started auto-x out here in Hawaii (since it's the only legal event we have besides drifting... which we all know AWD doesn't work too well in that situation) and it's a ****ing blast. I would HIGHLY suggest you guys go tear up some tires doing it.

I got too much grip for that... well, not anymore. I've tried before, but I won't be doing it too often because I like my diffs to stay in tact.

I'm SO glad there's no snow here... I almost hate the fact that I'll be seeing the white stuff when I'm back there at the end of the month.

sure AWD can drift, didn't you see my pic above? you can get the car sideways with AWD, just have to drive faster to do it.

they'll stay in tact.. it's matter of balance of knowing how to distribute the grip to all 4 tires.. if you know how to load up the front tires just enough and at the same time unload the weight off the rear, you'll be golden.. trust me, I've taken many classes to learn how deal with car control, it's not as bad as you think, it's just a matter of knowing what is going to happen, what is happen, and the more important one: what just happened so that you can repeat the correct steps and avoid the wrong ones.

Of course they can get sideways... all I'm saying is it's not good for the drivetrain. Trust me, I can get sideways off my launch now, and near the end of a day of auto-x I'm usualy getting a small drift in on the last turns (unintentional, but oh so fun).

any kind of hard driving isnt good for the drivetrain.. actually, launching from a deadstop is far worse on the drive train than a drift.. the speed differences and forces applied are far worse for a drag launch than drifting by far..

need to change those "unintentional" motions into "tensional"
