Hot Import Nights is coming to Washington on April 21st. I was wondering who was going? Also since the 350z presence is so strong around the mid-a region, we could show as a team for my350z.com or team mid-a or something. I know last year a couple of us went, I saw Brent, Mike, Kelly and Rob's car's.

haha just messin with ya ... Unfortunately I'll be out of town. Sounds like a blast though.

 

All of the HINs I have been too are so much damn fun, chicago by far is the best I have ever been too.

Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, Indianoplis, Washington are the ones I have been too or had my cars in.

 

oh god Karl the horrors of pre-marriage are already taking effect!

 

I swear on my Z this will be the only "hiccup".

Basically between middle of March and end of April I'm on lock down. After that I'll be back in action.

 

If I can get these last min mods done I will be there.

 

I might be there.. Depends on a # of things...
Right now, I don't have a car... but things could change...
If I am in town, I will definitely be going.

 

I remember back in the days @ HIN where all you needed to win was slappin on a bodykit and minor interior stuff. These days I can barely relate to the car that's being displayed, they all look like super customized spaceships with at least 100k invested. But either way, count me in!

After last years judging fiasco.. I'd rather not have anything to do with the judging. (yes.. I do believe that the judging is rigged, and no.. I'm not angry because I was wronged.. but a buddy of mine was)

Judging is rigged, I have been a part of judging before as well as have friends that do it on a regular basis. I will show if I have sponsors paying my entry fee and watching my car at the show all day.

Does anyone go to the car shows in OC MD convetion center??? usually not the best but lots of fun at night partying!!

HIN is rigged, we all know it...
Go to show your car to people and get compliments from real people, not for awards.

If you actually want to try to win, trailer your car there, spend 12 hours cleaning it (to include the inside of your wheels, your chassis and as far as you can reach inside your exhaust), bring another set of wheels because you will NEVER be able to clean a set that have been used on the street as well as the Dunlop/Nitto/BFG guys because they get brand new wheels/tires JUST FOR THE SHOW. Also make sure you just had the car repainted.. no rock chips or damage anywhere, oh, and make sure there is enough I.C.E or video equipment to choke an Eskimo...

Like I said, despite everything, if I can make this show I will. I enjoy the compliments I get from people

+10000000. I may not even take my car, but Im sure Ill be there. HIN is a joke IMO and Im not even a fan of the organizers and the hoops you have to jump through. But I always have to go out and see whats there.

And the OC shows are DEFINITELY alot more fun. Yeah, the judging is more fair, but I like to have fun showing. Im not in it for the "competition" and "who can collect more trophies and get more exposure" aspect. Just not my thing.

Show the car, drink beer, show what you have and let people admire it. And most importantly STARE at BOOBIES and have fun. lol

However, with that said. If there was a group of Z's who entered and got put all together on display with "not to be judged" signs I would definitely show. That would make a pretty good statement to the organizers and how they're viewed. Kinda like a little protest of sorts.

And it would be pretty cool to see all of our Z's (which are all very different) on display with each other.

So I've never been to a HIN before.. Are our cars going to be displayed as well? Not trying to enter, but I guess I'll have to get a great detail before we go..

 

If you're gonna go, you might as well enter your car. It's the same price as buying 2 tickets, and your car get's to be inside (or in my case, in between the two buildings so EVERYONE sees it). It's pretty nice seeing model's asscheek prints on your fender every 5 minutes and having your wife beat *****es off because they want to get carnal with you since you got a car in the show. You also get some media exposure (www.octanetv.com HIN episode 13). It's cool, as some of you guys already know.

I wouldn't trust my car outside at one of these events... several cars out here got ****ed up.

agreed judging is a joke. Ive only had one entry ever win anything and that was @ Chicago.
