Hell yes I'm ready, I've got my '99 escort out and ready to plow through this stuff. I could have used that "nismo JDM Z33 plow kit" for clearing out the path for me this morning. Anyways, I'm so glad that my employer gave me the day off. Thankfully I was here to take delivery of my JDM V2 front bumper.

When does it stop snowing around here so I can get it installed?!

My Z is safe under a car cover in our parking lot. I thought I'd be fine in my truck but I almost bought the farm this morning. Traveling south down I-95, traffic was cruising at the speed limit (65mph) since all lanes had been plowed. I was traveling in the middle lane behind two other cars. A semi in the right lane either tried to make an exit or simply hit a patch of unplowed snow cause he jacked knifed right in front of us. The two cars in front on me both slammed on their brakes and lost control. Instead of braking I swung wide for the left lane and ended up taking the unpaved shoulder to avoid the massive pile up that was about to ensue. So here I am going down the shoulder at about 40mph and I'm turning the steering wheel to go back onto the highway but nothing's happening. I'm sliding straight regardless of which way my front wheels are turned. I thought I was going to go down into the ditch and flip. Eventually I slowed and regained traction. I was lucky as sh*t and thanking GOD I was still breathing.

Just thought I'd share my little adventure. Be careful out there guys, either in your Z or your beaters. This sh*t sucks.

^ I parked the Z on the street with the Z car cover. It's great! The ice and snow slide right off. What REALLY sux is that the cover is a little small and didn't cover the bottom part of the wheels. When the shovel truck came back, it pushed nasty salted ice/snow toward my rims! OUCHHH!!! In order to get the Z out, I have to dig out all the snow underneath the car. I need a garage...

That's exactly why I took my 19" racing harts off for the winter & replaced them with the stock 18s.

Just out of curiosity, for everyone on this thread who park their Zs outside, why don't you all have car covers? It's the next best thing to having a garage, all I do with the cover on is dust it off a bit, take it off, shake it a bit, throw it in the hatch, and go while smiling at all the people struggling with scrapers and worrying about damaging the paint to their cars.

For me, I don't want to invest $ in a car cover. Also, when I come home I like to see the Z as is. It makes it easier to do a quick walk-around inspection if I need to. And when I want to take out the Z, I don't have to spend the time to take off the cover. The only thing I would really consider getting a cover is if I was in an area that gets lots of hail. Just my $0.02. Does the cover protect pretty well against hail?

The cover is really thin, doubt it'd do anything against hail. And the time to take on and remove the cover is less than a minute. It's so thin, light, and easily stowed away.

The walk-around inspection of your Z would be less frequent and probably yield more positive results WITH the cover. I hope you're never victim of a random drive-by egging.

How does the cover fit on Z's with body kits? The photos of Z car covers I've seen look pretty snug on stock Z.

^ Good question... with a front bumper lip, longer side skirts and rear skirt, and maybe a bigger spoiler(especially the spoiler), I doubt the car cover would still work.

With a full body kit and rear lip spoiler my cover fit. Granted it was a evolution 3 cover and not the stock type. Now that I've bought a 10X20 storage last november. If you can afford it, it beats car covers and then some.

Wow, I got out to my car this morning and I found out that it was a big ice cube. I couldnt even open the doors. Everything was frozen. It was snowing and then it started pouring rain and the cold temp at night froze everything. Damn what a PITA!!!!!!

That's good to hear! Cuz I'm putting on the Aerosync Front bumper, JP Type A sides and rear skirts on and no spoiler. Glad to hear my $200 Z cover will still work.

^ hhahahah

My car hasn't been driven since Jan 23rd, and that was by my bro for his work dinner. For some reason the battery has also been draining and the aftermarket alarm stopped functioning since I got it back from Function. I haven't looked into it beyond replacing the OEM battery with a RedTop...which didn't help. Any ideas?#@!!?@#
