Don't mind 'Berto. I think he's just pointing out that it's kinda misleading posting the 1/4 #'s under your sig, because it makes it "appear" that you ran those times.

No biggie, but you do realize your friend could have ran 11.89 and you may never see under 12.5 right? Or going the other direction you may run 11.70's...

Alberto - I ran a 14.3 in a supercharged Z

I suck - but I plan to actually track this car, rear end permitting.

figure you'd like that oh and I watched your vids... when are you going to get someone to tape your car moving down the track?

Also I am going to try and put something together for us domestic guys to come out for the same track day. our own little local Import vs Domestic day

I'm sure Kelly will bring his yellow fever for some runs. I'll let Dave have a shot at getting his hands on some big blocks - gotta expand hte buzznass to include the real power cars lol

I'll have a Corvette C6 soon (again) and I'm going to need someone to do a twin turbo install

"cheers"

Nope, not yet. I'm going to something called "The SRT Track Experience" on March 11th at Summit Point. Apparently you get to flog the entire SRT lineup from the Viper SRT-10 down. The event was included in the purchase price of the Charger. Should be interesting.

I'm planning to track the Viper at an event called Viper Days at VIR in July. It's a school that's taught by former/current professional Viper race drivers and is specifically tailored to driving the Viper on a road course. Really looking forward to the experience.

1/4 mile track...Haven't done it yet, but would like to once or twice this year.

Here you go, 95 degree day @ MIR-with a stock block weaksauce Turbonetics set-up, less than 400whp. The runs are in order of how I ran them, did many hot laps and ran consistent-the 11.9's were back to back in person no editing Car is a different animal now...

I am running Random Tech hi-flow cats, 3" in/out and 3" cat-back. Headers, while they sound great, are a very expensive mod for very little gain on an N/A Viper, thus they are a mod I likely won't do. The cats are a common mod on Vipers because they help to keep side-sill temperatures down underneath the doors, which in turn lowers the cabin temps. 8 liters (4 per side) of hot exhaust flowing basically underneath your seat can really warm things up!

Kelly - dont be afraid of a little sweat!

Wow the Corvette guys seem on most 6-MNT a 35 rwhp gain and 30-40 rwtq gain depending on the runner lenght and chamber size. I figure the Viper would see similar results. All this for around 1500 doesnt seem to bad at all.

Well, I guess there is more benefit to headers on a puny little V8 ..That or the Viper stock headers are just that efficient.
