Streetracing can be a problem in the whitemarsh area, usually sunday nights when it's a little nicer there are people at all the local spots stirring it up.

very true, I'm sure you have been to the pepboys rte. 40, golden ring home depot, or the Northpoint flea market on a sunday night before. It's just like "Northern Parkway" used to be talk talk talk talk then everyone finally chips in some $$ and theres some sort of ridicculous race. mustang w/ nitrous vs supra with stock twins for way longer than a quarter mile and on a hill or something with a launch off of a concrete pad. It's sad really, but I have lost some money there betting on cars before so call me a hypocrite lol.

the police would have no probs. with annyone hanging out at the Wendys rte 1 and silverspring rd., Ikea at whitemarsh mall, or anywhere else but people just wont throw away thier ga damn trash!! how hard is it? either don't buy anything or put it in the damn can when your done.

 

I'm at Northern parkway every weekend. How often are you there? I've been out to belair once.

 

Holy crap parkway still happens !? I remember exactly what DROPPEDIT2WCE is talking about haha!! Yupe, been there to loss money also haha!! Wasn't too bad like 5-10yrs ago; don't know what its like now. I just remember the cops getting so bad that they were shutting off all except for one lane and bringing out the helicopter to chase everyone out! Never quite got that; you have 100 people sitting in parking lot; then they come along and now you have 100 people racing to the other parking lot? Hmmm the safer one is... I thought most of the people moved it over to Glen Burnie. Of course there was always the horrible idea of going to 70 park & ride and only having 1 exit; for the cops to block hahaha!

Hmm might have to try and check out this meet on the 18th though!

 

Sweet! Is this going to be near the "Avenue"? I was there last Friday night and there were a few ricers that just cruise around the area for hours wasting precious gas.

 

The avenue has it's ups and downs, good food, descent bars, but Friday nights all the kids in thier cavaliers come out for parking lot pipmpin' ROTFL the 16 theater Lowes is right there, and Whitemarsh mall is across the street so there are alot of kids but thats pretty much anywhere on a Friday. If you went to the Avenue chances are you passed the park and ride it is right before the Ikea (huge blue and yellow building) 30 seconds walking distance.

Northern parkway still goes on but it's been since last season that I was there and all I saw were gums flapping, no racing! I have heard some pretty mean cars come out but no one wants to get butt hurt so they all argue then two far gayer cars usually do a completely lopsided run...

+1 the cops like to chase us out of the Pepoys on rte. 40 (too much "thug life" smoking blunts and rolling carts at the costco to set off it's alarm doesn't help) but they usually bring the state police chopper over to Golden Ring home depot cause thats easy to block off and close to the highway so its easy for the chopper to navigate since it's a "low priority" unless someone is hurt or evading police.
