Doesnt putting test pipes on with 3" exhaust usually

Not to offend anybody but Ive heard the HKS + TP combo and it sounded really ricey, doesnt fit the Z's image IMO. You try resonated TP's?

Naw, I haven't.. you think that would be a better option than a different exhaust?

I actually like your setup dude.. You have a deep tone and when you get on it, it doesn't scream, it has more of a mellow tone which I like... I wish sometimes I started modding differently.. I would have just done test pipes and left the stock exhaust on.. What kinda exhaust is your friend looking at?

He was looking at HKS but to me its overpriced crap, nothing you couldnt
out of a good single exhaust with good y pipe or dual and y pipe like mine.
I'll talk to him later on today hopefully and see if he hasn't decided on something yet. It's tarded here at work, damn firewalls blocked our AIM ability

I remember when I had the Dual 3 inch pipes before my magnaflow setup and it was insane loud, my ear drums
almost popped! Thats how I found out that 3 inch is a no go for me, I was pretty surprised by the Magnaflow, lots
of people talk smack about it cause its a gringo exhaust but hey its got my vote

Hahaha.. Yeah bro.. Man, from 3 to 7K is so sweet to listen to on my Z, but I think I'm growing out of it.. Plus, I gotta turn the stereo way up just to hear something when driving

Resonated TP's may be the way to go, or even highflow cats. It's prob just that single 3" usually the singles = LOUD AS HELL! My exhaust is quiet now, and soon to be LOUDER when I put my TP's on

Well I hope you find what your looking for have you thought about the Nismo Exhaust? Iam sure someone here would be willing to trade, but you are right cause I was tempted to go single exhaust since no one had it at the time. Now that I look at the car I just couldn't picture the single can on there The thing is that the more money you spend the more it sucks......ehhh modding fun but pricy.

Antonio, your exhaust def. has a nice growl. First time I have heard that particular setup and I must say sounds pretty sweet, nice and deep.
