How can I get a Title
Basically I bought the bike from this guy and I dropped it while he was waiting for the Title to come in from GE Financial(people he used to finance the bike). When he gave me the Title I didn't register it with the DMV or anything b/c I was 17 and couldn't. Well I moved since then and the Title got lost when I moved. I had the previous owner sign a power of attorney granting me permission to request a Title and all of that. Everything was all good until I went into the DMV this morning to find out that their records are showing that there is a lein on the bike from GE Financial. I called GE and gave them all of the info and they can't track it down because they only keep their records for like a year or two and this was almost three years ago. I have no f*cking idea as to how I am going to get a Title for the damn thing. Any suggestions?

been riding for about 3 1/2years. Supposedly my lein release should be here in the 3-5 days. I was thinking of turning it into a track bike as it would probably do well at the track. It's an 03 GSXR 600 wth and 03 GSXR 750 motor, Velocity Stacks, BMC Race Air Filter, TRE, Full Ti-Force Ti Exhaust, Power Commander, and currently being installed are GSXR 1000 Intake Cams and having the 750 Intake Cams put on the exhaust side. May have them put in a thinner head gasket to raise the compression while they're at it. All of this should net about 140-145whp after it is re-mapped and all. Might ride this for the summer then sell to my buddy and get a new bike.

Sounds like it should be a blast to ride. Best price on a bike Romney cycles in Romeny WV they have the best price you will find anywere in MD. Even with the 3hr drive one way you will still save a but load of money.
I had the same issue with my 2001 Mustang...I just rode the DMV side of things...DVM keeps there records, so I had them verify things for me, but if the title is saying a lean...it needs to be updated. If it does, then DMV should be looking for that guy with the lean to pay registration? If it shows that he registered a new bike or something then maybe that will work. I would call the GE folks like everyday, four times a day. They will get tire of saying the same thing over and over. Call center folks all hang out and gossip, so once your name gets around they will help. Just dont be a *****, because then who wants to help an Azzzzhole? My two cents.
