Default FEELER: US Formula 1 GP

I was talking to Dave at Function Tune and the idea of going to the US Formula One GP came up. We decided it might be fun to organize a road trip to Indy for the race. This thread is to see if people would be interested in making the trip.

The race is on Sunday June 17 and we would most likely leave for Indy on June 14th. Tickets for Sunday’s race are about $125 and if you would like to get the 3 day pass which would allow you to see practice and qualifying on Friday and Saturday that is about $70 additional. The seats we are looking at are in the J stand which is at the end of the front straight going into the infield. They go from 220mph down to 70 and most of the passing and crashing happens there (see turn one on the track map below). Hotels in the area start around $120 a night.

Again this is just a feeler thread to gauge interest. If you have never had the opportunity to watch a F1 race in person its amazing to watch these cars going at it live.

Getting car guys to spend money on things that aren't mods/***** is gonna be tough! (Need to save that extra $100 for my oil cap) But count me in anyways

The Canadian GP better to go to than the US GP - mainly b/c Montreal > Indy. I went a several years ago and had a blast... plus the drive up there was pretty damn nice.
