From the weather, traffic, ludicrous real estate prices, rude yuppies (and their Banana Republic/BMW/Starbucks fueled snobby attitudes), to the overall pervasive me-me-me-Terrell Owens milieu of this area (I've lived here since 1978), I feel a change coming on. Miami, here I (soon) come!

Sweeet...Im done with this area..crossing the street takes an hour...Cops are haters....the roads are not traffic friendly...the Mayor can smoke crack and get re-elected....Im moving to the sticks... and fish off my back porch, work on my CJ5 Jeep, the G, and my 77 Duece and Quarter in peace!
Raise some kids to become model citizens on the drift scene...lol.

ya man traffic is horrendous lately, all these unnecessary stop lights are really getting out of hand. All it takes is one dumb moron to get in an accident, and the next thing you know they've already installed some retarded stop light. As if thats supposed to fix the problem. i just dont understand why the county sees this as the only solution, i wouldn't even call it a solution. what they are doing is simply asinine.

I had to move to DC for work so that's why I am here. I also have family in the DC/MD/VA area. This place is just a huge melting pot. There are so many people from different states and they all have different driving habits which leads to traffic jams. Also what's up with he 55 speed limit on 495? Are you kidding me? All these cabbies who don't follow the traffic laws also cause major delays in the city. The housing market is INSANE here. I can't even buy a studio for under $300,000 in NW DC, but in Houston I can buy a 5 bedroom, 2 car garage with pool in a great neighborhood for $125,000. Also on the cops subject. You will get harrassed by the cops anywhere in the states if you drive like an idiot. Most cops have a great passion for cars, but if you have a Hyundai Sonata with a huge exhaust canister and are doing donuts in a Target parking lot prepared to get jammed up. However, I feel for all you guys living in VA. Virginia State Troopers are A$$holes!!! This is not an opinion, its a FACT. They even like to jam up other cops and us Federal guys. I have heard so many stories and have experienced it. When a VA state trys to pull over a FED in a gov't unmarked car with red/blue strobes you know you are going to have a problem. Anyways just my 2 cents, but I must say I love the 6 women to 1 guy ratio in DC.

I have family so I'm in the area at least once a month. Luckily I don't have to deal with the traffic and other stuff on a daily basis but compared to where I live (Amish Country), the DC area is a great place to visit. Areas like Reston, Fairfax, Georgetown, etc.. are all great spots for dining, drinking, hanging out, shop, etc. It's nice having a bunch of things to do in one small condense area. Up here, you've gotta drive around to a bunch of spots since everything is spread out.
1.Way to much traffic---takes me 45mins to an hour to go 10 miles.
2.Cops here HATE modded cars in any fashion.
3.Houses are way to expensive and so f-ing close together.
I'm moving when i graduate.
