I remember people doing things like these when attempting to impress chicks! (However it's even worse when you're trying to impress a buncha dudes!) Like for example one of my friends a few years back... We were on twisty roads: I was in his passenger seat and this girl he was dating was in the backseat in his non-modified 01' Accord. Took a 90 degree turn @ 55mph and threw his car into a 6ft ditch. 7k in damages! Oh no, that didn't stop him there! The 2nd time (after he got it all fixed up!) he was trying to impress me by following @ the same speed thru corners when he clearly knew i had a super modified suspension... this time he managed to flip his car in the air like Vin Diesal did in F&F and completely totaled his rice mobile. The 2 rims on the right side were tucked under his car and his body panels all smashed up... lucky enough to be even alive

I found out why the kid didn't take the curb/field route, and the reason is because he had just gotten his license the day before and din't know how to react. So Friday he gets his license, and Saturday night he totals his Mother's Cobalt SS.
