Thanks for the offer Charles! I actually have a Injen CAI sitting in my garage (Thanks to the freebie from Nowell when he went f/i) that was never installed. I honestly feel that my stock air box w/ the vent in my bumper is still my best setup.

still tho... you have TP and spacer... I have cams, spacer, headers, tp, td exhaust, intake, and crappy geddy emanage... even with the poor ecu i should still be a lot higher imo

There is alot of debate about that lately. Some say that you need a way to take advatage of of the cams with a better stand alone (ie motec, autronic, etc), others say you shouldn't. I know its not quite as strait forward as in the American muscle car world, where you could just throw a cam in and see large benifits right out of the gate.

I remember when you got your cams put in, and can't recall the exact weather, but maybe now that you have driven it around some, and got the ECU re-programed, you could have Dave try another tune? Regardless, don't part out just yet!!

Ok, But MOTEC is like $$$6-8k = big money that wouldnt make sense for him being NA.. most FI owners prob wouldnt spend that kind of money on a stand alone..

i need to find the print out of my previous dyno, but before I got the cams, tp's, & pumpkin swap, I dyno'd at 259.8, and I'm pretty sure that was dyno dynamics, but I will double check when I get home.

to install cams, tp, 3.5 fd, and lose 23 hp? doesn't make sense.. i thought I would GAIN that much.

Ok, so, 5at = sucks and emanage = sucks, but why would I lose that much, even if the weather was not ideal? Even if I got a better standalone, would that really give me the 50whp I feel I am missing??

Sorry for hijacking your thread Karl, its just you are the 100,000 person to dyno higher than me w/ less mods and I don't get it

Guess I should take it to a 1/4 track... then I might actually sell it lol

Shoot out mode on this DD isnt liker shoot out mode on the newer version with the new software. This shoot out mode reads much higher and adds a good amount of correction. Id just pay attention to actual numbers, but thats just me.

Id rather say I have 230whp and beat faster cars than brag about 260+whp and lose to a 240whp Z...

At least your car LOOKS good... and when you park next to a stock car w/ higher HP, at least you look like you can beat em! Plus, hot girls will jump into your riiiide before they even think about sittin' in a stock car!

Auto trans AWD
i had headers test pipes plenum spacer pop charger and 3 " duel exhaust
and my dyno was at 211whp..and i keep up with all the 250- 260 whp cars... its just a #... doesnt meen ur car is slow..

before i did anything to the car 2 years back... i had a base line on a Dyno jet and it put out 219 whp.. did test pipes plenum and ecu flash and had 225 whp... on the Dyno jet

I can only hope ... I'm looking to trap 100 mph. Losing the cats is close to 40 lbs less. I'm guessing without a spare, tools, and mats is another 60 lbs or so. We'll see.
