Pics from my M16 Qual prior to going to Iraq
thought I'd like to share for some of you out there in the MID-A
I'm in the Navy having to relearn everything with the Army in Camp Shelby, MS
Zero Range was fun, but those damn pop up targets (day-qual)in the field was harder that i thought.. I scored only 26/40, but still qualified.
cheers! see ya all before i head out to Iraq to help the Army

Yeah its hot as shizzil. Ryan and I were both over there as contractors and what you wont read about in the papers is that many soldier died from being cooked from the inside out. 140 is bad enough, then throw on gear and armor, now you are a walking microwave. Stay in the shade, drink lots of water.....also, NEVER go directly to sleep after being out in the heat more than 8 hours my friend.
good luck!
good luck!

Camp Shelby huh? My dad used to run the YCP program down there, is it still going on??
We lived about 5 minutes from there, and I was recently at Keesler AFB down in Biloxi for about 7 months.
Be safe in Iraq, and if you see COL Basinger over there, say hi!
EDIT: Will you be wearing the DCU's, or will they be issuing you ACU's?

Be safe over there and come home safe.

I haven't qualified since like 2005. haha I just got back from Iraq in February.
I hate the M-16 because it malfunctions too much for my liking. If you fire enough rounds it'll eventually just lock up from all the carbon build-up, and it doesn't take as long as you'd expect.

As an avid sport shooter, I keep a collection. I don't think I've ever had a mis-feed in either of these AR's in thousands of rounds.
