Default Wish I would have bought one sooner

Man, I really like my Z. It's the first non-german sports car I've owned as I have said before, but I really like this car. I wish I would have bought one years ago. Yesterday morning I was going to work and did a little on ramp drag racing with the car behind me and it must have been the dense cool air or something but the car felt crazy fast.. I was prob still half asleep since it was at 5am. Then on the way hone that day I goosed it a bit in a turn through an empty intersection and go the rear out just a little. This car is sooo easy to drive and rewarding too. I can't believe it's taken me this long to buy one!

Anyways on to my question, the acceleration was so good the other morning I was wondering if I really even needed FI. So I was wondering and it could be a free lunch to anyone in my area if someone will take me for a ride in their Turbo or Blown Z. Not a long ride or life threatening just want to see the difference. I know it's going to be faster, but I just want to see if it's something I can live without on the commuter car LOL.

Anyone anyone?

I'm in that same situation. Sometimes my car feels so fast I wonder why anyone would want to turbo it.

I've had a bunch, every model of GTI, one of the last was a 97 gti with an audi TT motor and larger turbo setup, Passat, jetta, rabbit, etc, etc, etc.

But Porsche's have been my "sports" cars. The VW have been commuter cars. I have had a 944, 951, 968, 964 turbo and the last was a 01 Boxster S (I really miss that car)

I'm trying not to order a vortex kit tonight, come on someone give me a ride!!!!

A ride in a boosted Z (or little drive) is THE MOST addictive thing you can do. IF you do it there won't be any going back. Trust me. I drove Nowells (had been debating FI) and within the next month or so I had made the GIANT leap of no return.

I can only guess its like driving a C5, then taking a spin in a C5Z. I can only say I wanted one for a few years after I drove one....

I'm in Winchester but I work in Herndon. I guess that I need to ride in both. The SC seems less intrusive, I also drive the car everyday for about 150 miles, but I hear the single turbos are good too. I just want to see what I'm missing.

Alot of the S/C guys wish they had gone turbo first. Might want to consider it.

I really just want to go for a ride in one or more FI type cars. I haven't really decided on doing FI or what direction turbo or SC yet.

Anyone need a hitchhiker?

I have vortech, gave my friend who has a type s(i know ) ordering vortech next week for his car. First time I drove a s/c G35 I knew i was getting a g35/z and going supercharger. Turbo does give much nicer TQ but per most posts vortech has proven to be most reliable for daily driving. Many will argue but just from overall audience you will see same. Mine is still at 7 psi so im willing to give a ride for lunch/gas(pwns me ) I do sometimes wish I went turbo until it gets cold out and the car pulls really hard. pm me if your looking to get a feel for s/c and many turbo guys local too
