Places to get oil changes in Fairfax..
Im pretty new to the area, still learning my way around. Im currently attending GMU in Fairfax and I need to get my oil changed in my 01 Toyota Highlander.
I know there are a bunch of car places to go to around here, but which ones do you recommend? Id like to try to spend between $15-25. The two places I have called so far want $30 and between $35-85...

GMU alumni here - I always used to take my beater car down to Quick Lube or Precision Tune during the cold months, they are both next to each other on lee highway right across from PJ skadoo's. Get a qoute from both and ask about student discounts! One even has a ladies day, where oil changes are 13 bucks.

There is a thread about good shops...do a search in the mid A for it....
This one is free...next time we get to remove an arm for the help!

...or you can find a corporate store and b***H and moan until they do it for free or else you will 'call the corporate office' (trust me...they do it, even when they have never been to your store before). JEZZZ I hate when jerks did that at my old shop. Scum of the earth, they are.

Remove oil cap on top of engine, jack car, place catch pan, remove oil pan plug bolt & drain into catch pan, remove filter, screw on new filter, return oil pan plug to original position, un-jack car, put in new oil (5W-30), return oil cap to original position, idle car for 5 minutes, done. After you figure it all out, takes you about 10 minutes.
