Default damn deer :D

I'm peacefully going down Great Seneca around Kentlands area tonight, minding my own business, and this demon beast charges from darkness to left and bounces of my hood. It was pretty sureal, one second I have postcard of big *** doe in mid air in front of me and next moment my hood is up in my face at 50mph.

I pulled aside and really for hitting something so big there wasn't much damage, most damage was caused from hood poppin. Rest of damage will be caused by my $1000 collision deductible (is it collision if thing charges in front of me? Not like I had a chance to do anything)

it rushed from other side, notice 4 streetlights in row not working

Sucks but could always be worse..

After seeing all these unfunction-tuning threads about hitting deers, running into a tree, drifting into a BMW and not pulling the e-brake hard enough and let the car roll into a curb, I'm gonna start putting a tow hook on 24/7. Sounds like it'll at least take 50% of the damage.

well to me it looked like little ****er just flew by I was in leftmost lane so he only made it 20 feet on adrenalin before dieing on sidewalk (well grass next to sidewalk really. Despite my heartless post, I pulled over and ran to check on doe but she was dead already.

I guess I should applaud her for having common curtesy to make it off the road

I am so afraid of this-there are so many deer out now!...luckily it doesnt seem to have done too much damage. Oh and BTW deer claims are usually comprehensive claims

+1, animals and natural disasters fall under that. I hit a turkey couple years back in my daily and rolled up hood to smash my windshield right in my face.

I saw your pictures, wanna trade tips on technique while season is still goin?

It's comprehensive like you said, and my deductible on that is $50 (cos it covers vandalism)

Anyone have a good body shop to recomend in Rockville/Gaithersburg area (I work near East Gude, lotsa shops there.. guess I could also go ask guys in Altered Atmosphere)?

PS if anyone from Frederick wants to come down, roadkill should still be there

I've heard a lot of good things about the EMPLOYEES at Revision. But definitely not the shop itself. I've had bad experience with the people who run the show there. Car Toyz 2 is the way to go.

Most insurance companies will consider this comprehensive. What company do you have?
