I was kicking around an idea in my head and i wanted to gauge interest from you guys....
If Nissan set up a couple tuning shop run by Nissan employees (as opposed to a franchise like the dealers) in key area like the mid-A, Southeast, and West coast, would there be much interest in Z, 240sx, and SE-R Sentra work such as suspension installation, wheels/tires, chassis service, graphics, possibly paintwork,NA tuning, possibly 'aftermarket' Nissan-approved turbo system (don't expect more than about 375 whpr) + tuning, basic oil/fluid changes. The shop would also be capable of producing a full-fledged race car if the customer has the cash.
One thing about this would be that Nissan could only install Nissan/Infiniti/Nismo parts. This would be a strict policy...no other manufacturers' parts could be bought/sold or installed there. There would be warranties would would make the parts and installs more enticing as well depending on the application desired.
Just an idea i had floating around in my head for the future...
Please give me feedback!

I wouldn't invest time/money, my dealership installs all nismo parts and warranties the work. I would talk to techs there about working on my car on the side with other brand parts
+1
I dont think any serious Nissan tuner is going to want to limit his options to Nissan only parts. And 375 hp is laughable to some of the TT, ST, or tuned supercharger owners. Just my opinion.

+1 nismo stuff is way over priced. the only way i would take my car there would be for painting which any good place should be able to do. and if i took my tt for a tune there and put down a max of 375 whp i would slit my wrists right then and there. that would be a huge disappointment. thats my 2 cents tho.
