Question Good Place to Mount/Balance tires in Montgomery Co., MD?

I'm finally ditching the stock RE040 tires in favor of new ones. I've already got the new tires, but now need to find a place in Montgomery County, MD that would do a good job of mounting and balancing them.

Does anyone have any recommendations of where to go? I'm hopefully looking to minimize cost as much as possible but of course I want the lowest price for the place that will do it right.

Assuming youre still on stock wheels, any competent shop can do the job for you. I found that gas stations are the cheapest. NTB, Merchants, Sears, etc are also fine. If youre really picky about who does the work than I suggest Auto Effects in College Park. A little pricey but to know that my wheels are tires are in good hands is worth the extra costs.

Gooey:

I am indeed still using stock rims, I'd just rather them not get scratched or dinged. I've called a few local places and the pricing was as follows:

Goodyear: $60 per tire. They claimed the exorbitant price was because that includes future tire rotations. I didn't inquire if that would include the Z due to the staggered nature and directional tread, but I also don't plan on spending $240 just to mount and balance the new tires either!
Fletcher's Amoco $24 per tire. The thing I liked about the guy I talked to at this place is he asked if I had TPMS, as well as asking what exacts size tires I had... when I told him the sizes (stock sizes) he said I should bring them by and he can inspect them to see if they could do it with their machine, that they do do 18's but these would be rather low profile and they might now work on their machine.
Sunoco I called twice, first guy told me $18 per tire, second one told me $26 per tire. Not sure which to believe, or if I should even bother with them because they seem to have a left-hand not knowing what the right-hand is doing syndrome.

There's a few other places I intended to call as well. How much does Auto Effects charge?

umzzz,

do you know how much autoworld charges per tire?

Pun1sh3RZ,

do you know how much Car Toyz charges?

If not, I can call those places and find out.

Radial Tire in Silver Spring

9101 Brookville Rd
Silver Spring, MD 20910

Phone: 301-585-2740

They do all the high end Mercedes, BMW, Bently etc etc. They also have the newest Hunter Road Force Balancing Machines. I think they are in the same range $25 to $35. Or you can go to TireRack. They have a list of qualified installers.

Definitely Radial Tire. I got my Toyo T1Rs there mounted on TE37s and they were the only pace in the area that would move TPS that I could find. Did a great job just be prepared to drop it off or wait a long time.

Why don't you take it to the dealership? I don't think their price is that much higher. Call up DARCARS Nissan or even Infiniti to find out.
