PLease...someone....help me save this dog's LIFE!!!!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Everybody,
This morning a 6 month old bull terrier i recently adopted took it upon himself to maul my right hand pretty severely. He was growled at by my 2 year old bull terrier and mistook my petting him as the other dog about to attack him.
Sadly, everybody wants me to have him put down. Everybody except me!!!
He is a great dog and a beautiful one at that. But i do not feel i can handle having him in my home. I look at him and feel sad that today might be his last day on earth.
He is not vicious and is in fact a very loving dog. Sadlyhe does have this defense/dominance/agression issue and with a bite history every pound that will accept him will euthanize him.
Dog is located in Queens but i will drive any reasonable distance for the perfect home!!!
Please....anybody with a warm heart and experience with dog agression....save this dog from being put down!
He is 7 months old tomorrow, has all shots, neutered and comes with his medication, a cage as well as every toy you can think of.
ONLY if u have experience and know what you are getting into will i let him go. Preferably if u know of or have experience as a dog trainer would he be a good fit.
NO KIDS...male only house hold. Gets along great with other dogs and absolutely loves to play.
Ask around and PM me. I will also require you to sign a release form to obsolve me from any legal action if you cannot handle him as he is mircochipped to me.
Please....someone find him a home soon before i am left with a very, very sad decision.

I love dogs, but don't have the time or experience to help you I will keep an eye out and see if I hear of anything.
Good luck man, its always a sad decision, but imagine if that was someone else. I was attacked by my neighbors pit bull in college. It wasn't that bad, but it attacked an elderly lady that brought over some mail that belonged to them that was accidentally delivered to her. She ended up in the hospital with serious injuries. It wasn't until then that they put the dog down. I know its tough, sorry man. I hope your hand gets better.
There is someone out there that will be able to train and spend time with the dog the way it needs. I hope you find that person so you don't have to put him down.

Dude i know....i took him in because he was too aggressive for his previous owner who wanted him put down....i can't help but feel like my failure means this beautiful dog may have to go...
i have a 2yo un-neutered male Bull Terrier and he is just the greatest dog ever....the worst part of it all is he loves this little guy...he even opens up the cage to they can nap together.
If anyone knows of a shelter willing to take and keep him that is fine too...maybe a vet who will take him...

If you only had him a week, I hope you give some good amount of time to find him a new home. One week is not alot of time and maybe you didn't give him enough time to become familiar with his surroundings and the other dog.

rescue places do not want him as finding a new home for a dog with bite history is next to impossible...
sadly he will be put down tomorrow as he attemted to attack me again while giving him his food....sadly tomorrow is also my 28th b'day

Dude, I know its bad when you are faced with losing your dog. My dog is dieing of cancer and its hard to face the thought of it going. It must suck even more for you when your dog is perfectly fine and you have to give it up or put it to sleep. I wish I could handle that pup, but I'm to nice to be ruff with a dog.
