Girlfreind needs a car
Well guys I am here to ask questions for info and opinions for something non-Z related. My GF needs to buy her first car and is going to use some $ from student loans to buy it outright. She doesnt need anything fast, just something really cheap and reliable as it is her first car. She is looking at things like the sentra, altima, corolla, accord etc. nothing fancy. Her budget is between 7 and 9k. The most important factor is that she has something reliable for the next year or 2 at least.
Here is where I could use your help:
1.) anyone with hookups on used cars?
2.)Recommendations on dealers that have given good deals+service
3.) Any random info that could help
By the way Ive been searching for her on autotrader.com so far.

My girlfriend was in the same situation 3 years ago and ended up going with a used 03 Nissan Sentra SE-R SpecV. 3 years later and 30K miles later its still running strong, and its a fun to drive too.

You can buy a nicely maintained Corolla, Civic, or Accord for under $8K easy. 100K miles on a well maintained car is nothing dont let it scare you. The thing with classifieds/private ads is YOU have to inspect it or go through the hassle of having ti checked by somebody you trust. Atleast at say carmax you can buy a warranty which you may or may not need-decisions, decisions. Did you check carmax? Good luck.
