Default help..trying to ship a hood

I am currently selling a hood to a person in Massachusetts, and I am wondering who has sent something this big before and how. I had no luck finding a box today big enough. Anyone have any other methods of trying to box or wrap it up so i can ship it. Thanks.

Have you tried going to a ups store, they might carry a box that big for the hood, what happen to the one that you got when you recieved your hood, don't have to anymore? I'm sure you can find a box for that hood.

Its worth trying to go to a bodyshop and asking if they can set one aside for you before they cut the box up, if its a nice bodyshop they will probably do it. BTW I worked in parts and I would say 50% of the time the hoods end up damaged, get insurance on the shipment for sure.

+1

I had to get 2 CF hoods shipped to me because the first one was cracked as if some D-bag played hop-scotch on it.

Listen to Eric. You could just get a couple boxes and make your own. But really like I mentioned, it's better to just wrap the hood up instead of trying to get a box. If it's in a box, it'll get tossed around during shipping. If you just wrap it with like bubble wrap and such, they will give it extra care. My current bumper was shipped to me without a box.

Tell you what, I have a hood coming off my car and a new hood going on, if you buy my old hood, I'll throw in the box for free.

+1 on making your own box. The "box" that ethan's hood came in was made of 15 diff boxes all taped together.
