The Corvette club doesnt even go into the park anymore because 211 is such a great road, that is smooth and new pavement. Also going down 211 is one lane (danger danger...pile up...ugly) Going up 211 is two lanes, which adds a bit more of comfort. I am willing (as long as my tires hold up) to extend the cruise to the SUPER DRIVERs that have been doing push-up for the past 6 months preparing for the drive. I dont think most of you know how physical 35mph can be in constant turns on Skyline Drive....

They will know so soon. By the time we get to 211 which is just before the Tunnel Picture in the OP first post, we are so beat anyways, we normally just go home... leaving right at the 211 interchange.
That may be a winner:

Front Royal south to Highway 211.
Highway 211 east.

On the last cruise, you and several members stopped at a country tourist attraction on 211. Big parking lot. That might be a good place for sandwiches. I know they have ice cream.

I'm stoked. I'm thinking about pulling my spacers off and putting my stockers back on for the drive

Right but it seems that we are turning off just as the construction begins. The first (northern section) should be good to go upto the Tunnel. Is that a safe azzummmmmption?

Famous last words. If it rains, we'll blame you for the jinx

I agree with Corey, you guys shoulf def do 211, I went down it last year with a bunch of people during the Z skyline drive,

and then went up it during the vette skyline drive...

going up there is def a bit more of a comfort zone.. going down is well but still fun!

211 is where all the bikes go.... every week there is a bike who go down. last year, there were some fatalities also... that is a dangerous road. even for a car... too many bike traffic.

I agree...no fun is worth a loss of life. We dont get that crazy. But im sure most riders that go down are not the veterans. I had a bike and its all about knowing your limits and not trying to be cool, by passing at a rediculous speed.

Although accidents happen well out of our control.

Good thing about being at the base of 211...is seein what goes or has gone up 211... we can adjust the time of departure accordingly. lol
