Default Golfers?

Hey hey everybody, as you all know, I'm in Mississippi. Anybody that has been blessed to visit the coast of Mississippi should know, that there isnt ANYTHING to do. Needless to say, spending my time with NCO's and higher, I've picked up golf. I played all weekend, and am gonna shoot 18 holes tomorrow also. I hope to keep playing once I leave here, so I was wondering, how many of you play? Hopefully we can all play a few rounds when I get back

Golfing and Z somehow don't seem to go well together.

I used to talk a LOT of trash about golf until I decided to have an open mind and try it out. Let's just say that learning to hit that tiny ball was comical. I actually frequent Top Golf out in Alexandria so I have targets to aim for. One of the first thing I noticed when I opened the hatch to the Z was the sticker that showed me I could fit two golf bags in the trunk

Does putt-putt count? I know I can play that.
Haven't had time to play actual golf and it is something I wouldn't mind trying.

I play even though I'm not very good. For work I interact with a ton of vendors and get opportunities all the time to go play golf with them just to meet and BS, and also get to play in their annual tournaments. An old coworker of mine has also scored us tickets to The Masters in Augusta this year so a few of us are going down to watch.

This was last year during the Alltel Charles Barkley Celebrity golf tournament. Our celebrity was Mr. Belding from Saved By The Bell. (you probably won't recognize him though, he's gained like 300lbs)

My Driver generally does not leave much left of the ball after I hit it. So putting after my drive is generally a problem...

Well, I bought just a general starter set from the BX here. It was on sale, so I figured instead of renting clubs every week, it would be cheaper to buy these ones. It's a legit kit. No problems so far, I shot a 59 (LOL) on the front 9 yesterday.

I would go to New Orleans, but I would get myself in trouble haha. Thats the good thing about hanging out with prior cops, crew chiefs, and other maintenance fields. They can get me out of trouble
