Default Alternative on Bodyshop?

I know similar question had been asked before on where to take their cars to for audio installation, body work etc. I have some body work (body kit repainted and refitted, fiberglass work) that needs to be done and I'm in a tight schedule. I do know the big names around here such as Car Toyz 2, Revision, etc so please save the preaching and spend the energy on something else. But as we know the show season is approaching and they're all packed with like 10+ cars in the queue. The outcome is either long wait time or a quick snappy but shxtty job. I'm asking around to see if anyone knows any old school mom and pop body shop that does solid work with reasonable price around NOVA or MD area?

I guess one thing I really want to know is.. Any of you with a PPW had success with any body shop paint match your car? I know even the big names can't do it right.

uh... lets put it this way. I've seen things going down a lot at the big shops due to busy schedule and such and I'm not gonna try to share it here. Please don't try to hint to any of your preferred or sponsored shops. This is definitely not the place for it.

I know exactly where the PPW comment is from, i'm simply stating get it done RIGHT the first time. Spend the money, if not then don't complain. Not trying to promote or put down a shop.

Autobody Images off Rt1 and Rt32 in MD. Had work done there in the past and had a great experience. Joe is the owner.

Ive been wanting to try the body shop by Function:Tuned for some time now. You know the one on the corner with the Bada$$ paint booths. I think it's Lehigh or something like that.

GL bro.

Hmm yea sure. I'm glad that you know the inside scoop about the PPW comment. And let me tell you things like that would really ruin a shop's rep. It's not my place to share that story.

I do know this shop called Classic (Arthur used to work there) in old Gaithersburg, MD that does some really good paint job and actually matched a PPW Z. But they seem to only do OEM stuff.

I hate to say this and probably shouldn't be but, have you tried Maaco? I know they guarantee the paint match.

Do they do any aftermarket stuff though? I want to paint my bumper, side skirts and rear bumper skirt and somehow have they refitted. The kit need some fiberglass work too.

Hmm... ok? I'd really want to know the other side of the story since I can't even come up with a legit excuse for such a bad job. Didn't meet deadline, paint didn't match, rusty and unmatching screws, didn't fit the kit right, left a scratch on the door.. hmmm.. want me to go on? What concerns me is when a shop has the ability to do things right but they didn't... That leads me into thinking.. isn't that how all the other shops go down? Got popular, got busy, started to treat the small jobs like they're nothing and eventually lose the big pool of small customers? Ok I'm done here. I'm really just looking for some family style reliable shops here.
