Just curious, what class are you going to be in?

From the looks of your car, it should be in the wild category? However at most HIN's I've attended, it seems that there is a very thin line.

nah I built this car for the top of MILD, the wild people have to much dow to compete with. I already attended the first NCCA event and same judges judge this HIN, its a defenit Mild, built for that purpos. I know some will be like that is not fair it should be wild blah blah, but if your NCCA and are competative youl understand.

It boggles my mind how that can be mild. But I like the car for sure.

I totally understand where you are coming from, but I have competed in HIN and other events, and from my experiences HIN is the most controversial.

Again I do not mean to sound like I am bitching or anything (plus I do not have the rule book in front of me so please do not quote me). But from looking at your car, it seems you nearly fit into 3 items already (5 would put you into the wild category).

I do not know your mod list, so excuse my ignorance.
Custom Paint job
Forced Induction
Nitrous
Custom interior

More things might fit such as your wide body, as well as multiple screens.

Again I am not saying anything bad, I suppose I want to know how your car is a mild car, because to me your car is anything but mild.

I understand the point system. Your example is the very reason why I am saying that the system is broken.

My point is that many of those cars go over the points / mods needed to still be in the mild category. (unless they were changed)

I have enough mods to be in wild but looking at my car its looks mild. Last year some guy in the parking lot classed you right then and never once asked about the car.

nah man I understand,
I just built this car for this years NCCA mild nissan / JDM conversion class.
only wild mods I can think of w/o the rule book in front of me is:
Supercharger+nos
6pt rollcage

interior is 50%+ unfinished stock panels, hence not wild
wide body not molded, not wild

I also dont have BBK and coilovers, both wild mods, I purposly do not have these to stay in the mild class.

Well you are combining the Supercharger and Nos.

You have a custom painted dash as well as sound system.

PumpedVA, that was the same process a few years back that I went through as well. That is why I am wondering how certain cars get into the mild category. The guy saw my intercooler, custom paint and coilovers and nearly put me into the wild category.

Also +1 on the nicely done car.

All I am going to say is last year I got classified as MILD and yet the year before (with a lot less mods) I was classified as WILD... Good luck with everything. I suggest just going to hang out and have fun.

I hate the way classifications and judging is done at HIN. IT ALWAYS ends up being controversial. I only go to let people check out the car and hang out with the guys. I honestly could care less about the points or the trophies anymore.

There will be quite a few of us attending. Look forward to finally checking out your car in person Muzzy.

Since you're going for the points I'll root for ya bro. Good Luck!

Whats up Muzzy. I'll see you Friday with your decals buddy. Car is looking good.

As for the classes, its all crazyness. You car can change classes throughout the night, who knows how they do it.

Different shows put you in different classes, at HIN you would probably be Mild but if you went to NOPI you would be Wild.

Like what Robbie said "IT ALWAYS ends up being controversial."

You can find some info here...

Good luck this weekend to everyone who is showing this weekend.
