I just noticed I haven't started a thread in quite awhile! Been slackin', however these are some quick shots with my crapola camera phone...
Making the mold:
Trimmed off the excess carbon fiber:
Pop off the headlight cover:
Closer Inspection of the 2x2 CF Twill Weave:
Flexibility + Durability FTW! (I hear these can deflect bullets!) Muhahaha!
Time for a test fitment - Before and After:
Can you say... perfect fitment? BoO YaH!
Here's a last shot of me in my jumpsuit, goggles, and respirator mask... oh smack.. I forgot the gloves... I'm gonna diiiiie, oh wells! (yes, you do NOT want to breathe fumes nor let the materials touch ur skin!)
(no 'peace-sign' FOB poses today)
I'll update you guys when I actually have these coated w/ a flexible gloss finish, but as for now, I simply wanted to make 1 side to see how they'd look on my pimp mobile. Track season is coming up so it's important to protect your headlights from flying debris... so protect them in styyyyle playa!

They're actual functional covers that you can pop on and off! I'm planning on using them for some track events

thats common set up for creating carbon fiber.....ive been learning from a friend on how to make the stuff....hes right, you dont wanna breathe the stuff or get it on your skin....
