What EMS? Do you need dyno time and have your own tuner or do you need someone to tune? Specifics on the car may help some of us guide you.
FWIW. I'd honestly trust more than a few different platforms with F:T. They've done quite a few BMW's and 3000GT's that are running very strong.

anyway, i was wondering if there were any shops that can do a tune in the VA Beach or Norfolk area? i checked out Function Tuned, but that's a three hour drive. if there are any local shops, anyone know what software they work with? i was planning on getting test pipes or HFCs and tossing in a UPREV for my 07. thanks.

A 3 hour drive is no big deal for a quality tune. Think of it like watching sports, you may have to drive a ways to see a pro game at a real stadium or you can watch the guys at the local park play pickup. Same sport, just a different level of quailty and expertise.
Look at it this way: 3 hour drive and you can make it back that night.
Q: How many hours do you drive your car a year?
Let's say it takes you 1 min to drive 1 mile (highway) and the average person drives 15,000 miles a year give or take... that's 15,000 HOURS spent in that car. So you're basically saying you would rather go for a shop that's not as reputable to save urself 1-2 hours of driving and risk running on a crappier tune while paying almost the same dollar amount, than to take those extra 1-2 hours and drive further away to a shop that specializes in your car?
Most would rather travel an extra 2-3... hell even 9 hrs and drive home with full confidence knowing that they got the best tune for their money.
8hrs of your time vs 15,000 hours u'll spend in that car.. and it's not like you get a tune every year, so imagine those 8 hours you spend at Function TUNED will serve you for the next 30-45k... or even the life of the car. You do the math

lol, fair enough. i thought maybe someone was closer, that is all. i agree, i would rather get a good tune and drive further for it.
that said, i take it Function Tuned works with UPREV? it didn't say on their website.

Dave at Function did my ECU flash and tune actually this past friday. Excellent tune, great service. Definitely worth the drive. And if you go on a friday you can stay a little late for the bbq get together.
