i have been through fiberglass and i will never go with it again. Fiberglass gives you stress cracks, cracks easy, rock chips A LOT easier even with high end paint job, when removing the bumper, it will start getting cracks around mounting points.
how is fitment.. flexible.. what bout special "flex" paint???
fitment depends on who made it. no one can really tell you that since not all molds are the same. Urethane is flexible but is really hard to fit if it has bad fitment. Making adjustments or filling in gaps is harder with urethane than with fiberglass so make sure you buy a nicely made urethane bumper.
A good body shop will know what to do wiht the bumper. they will add flex additives in the paint so when the bumper flexes, the paint doesn't just crack off.
I hit a 18 wheeler tire on the highway going about 50 miles per hour. I pulled over once i got out the car to take a look at my front bumper and it had stress cracks and was a little warped but other than that it was just fine, i was like holy ****. I then called the agency that is suppose to pick up the trash off highways and bitched them out, lol.
i drove on the highway behind another guy's Z with urethane front end and i swear at speed, the airflow pushed the urethane piece back dangerously close to rubbing on his tire. anyone else seen that?
