Default Need a VA beach turbo Z owner/specialist!

I'm looking to buy a red turbo Z that is for sale at a used car dealership in VA Beach called tidewater motors. I will pay someone who REALLY knows what their talking about as in have installed/worked on turbo'd Z's before. I want that person to check the Z out for me and I will pay. If you can prove that you could check out how well this turbo'd car is for me and maybe even test drive it I will pay a nice amount of cash. Please pm me if you would like to make some extra cash and think you are qualified.

Okay i will keep you in mind. I want to see what other people show up in here at all. Like I said im asking for a full overview of the engine bay and a test drive. I want someone who knows the ins and outs of a turbo'd Z. It is a turbonetics kit that is installed on there now it seems. It is an excellent price that is perfect for me if it worked. It has lambo doors and 19 inch chrome falkens so it makes me leery if it was beat. The paint is in excellent condition apparently though which is always a good sign.

lol,... lambo doors.... 19 in chrome falkens??

i highly suggest not buying a FI car like this if u dont know a lot about it.. research first.... u cant just throw oil and gas in them and drive...

theres diff ways to maintain that.. research first homie.

I've researched as much as I can. I mean honestly what the hell do you think im doing right now? Trying to get expert input by seeing/test driving it in person. It's a very good price with the turbo on it and that's all i care about.

yeah, i wouldnt get a boosted car from a dealer like that. even if the guy who owned it before didnt beat on it, you know that some sale's man did because he wanted to feel the power.

That place is down the street from me. To be honest though, if you had a turbo car, you would beat it. Nobody puts a turbo in a car to drive it like a grand ma. Also I bet every single sailor that is looking for a hot rod has test drove the crap out of it.

Another thing is that places like that around here will want you do a credit check before they let you test drive it. I can go check it out (not today though) but I would like you to call them and give them a heads up that you are not local and you are sending some one down to check the car out. I will also send you some high resolution pictures of the car (let them know that too) before you pull the trigger. I would also go as far as helping you out on saving some money if you are shipping the car (dealers will make money out that too). I would park the car in my garage till you have made arrangement to get the car to your house. Some people here can attest to that I'm a honest guy and I'm always looking for ways to help others. Just shoot me a PM if interested. It doesn't have to be just me. The more eyes the better.

My experience with turbo car is pretty much all I have. I sold the Z because it didn't have a turbo. But I had my fare share of turbo preludes, 1 1st gen RX-7, 3 3rd Gen RX-7s, 2 WRX (one a STi) and now a Mazdaspeed 6. I do my own work on my cars and any one and I do it all for free (or lunch).

Calm down noob, what do you expect to hear when you come on here asking somebody to look over a car for you? No way in hell would I give somebody my "ok" on buying a car. Especially if you don't know what the hell you're doing. A month later when something breaks, I'd be the first one you'd call, and you'd probably be pissed.

Sounds like there's your answer ^^^^ And its a TN. You realize if you gave us more info on the parts and history we could probably tell you alot more.

Missing strut bar.

There are REALLY good turbo'd Z's that can be bought.

Whether they've been driven hard or not wouldn't necessarily matter to me if I know how the person cared for the car. There are high HP Z's and G''s out there I'd buy even though I know they've been to the track, etc. There's done and there's done right.

Lets put it this way... There's a REASON why he traded that problematic hunk of metal in. I've been in this industry for years and I'd decline a Turbonetics Z if it was given away for free... why you say? Because after 5-7k miles you're gonna be dishing out 20k for repairs since those kits are known to blow you up quite often unless your motor's built. So after the welds are blown off your intake manifold, someone's gonna hafta take the motor apart to replace the piston rings ya fried.

Ahhhh...that's clever, I see what you did there. Just one more reason why I love the Mid-A. I've had a TN Single for sooo long, I'm never gonna give it up and its never gonna let me down.
