On the way to work everyday I see about 10-15 Z/G cars on the way to tysons, now the average driver is usually an older male or a female, I have only had one run in where the person will wave or flash their highs, back when I was in my 240 every driver almost would say whats up or wave or do something, in your honest opinion would you say the average run of the mill driver is pretty much a douchebag?

When I'm out driving I wave to other Z and G people.

I know the Jeep people are all big into that. When I was driving my friends jeep that he was trying to sell, there was someone waving or flashing their lights every other car.

i always get Z drivers waving and i always wave back very flamboyantly.

 

I love my Z, but it's still just a car. If i'm next to another Z at a light i'll give a nod or wave, but normally don't go out of my way to wave at one in passing. Honestly it's probably more that i don't spend my time on the road scanning for other Z/Gs. I'm older as well. When i was younger i think i made more of a point, to acknowledge other drivers with the same car i had at the time.

I wave to every 350z i see, sometimes I get a wave back, other times not, about 50/50. Don't really wave to G's or any of the other Z cars -- I guess I should start. I heard that the 300zx guys don't wave but flip their lights at each other.

240's are so old now that all the ones that haven't rusted away have been bought up as project cars. So it makes sence that most still left on the road are owned by enthusiasts.

 

yes they are... if i pull up to a light next to a G/Z they wont even look in my direction even if they are slightly modded

 

My observation is that if the Z/G is modded, they'd most likely waved back. The most ignorant ones I see are the young ones driving a stock Z/G wearing huge Gucci sunglasses.

I am going to say, no.

So, other "stock" Z drivers, the older people, could careless about a modded or even slightly modded Z.
They bought a Z for no intention of making it look any different, if the owner wanted a modded Z, he would of never bought a Z to begin with.

Whenever I see another Z, if the owner is looking my way, I'll give them a wave, and I could careless if they wave back or not. It is just a nice gesture.
And if a non-Z owner is looking my way, I'll give them a wave as well.

Yes, because in this area 3/4 of people buy the G/Z (G especially) for the yuppy factor, not for the enthusiast aspect. Doesn't mean they are douchebags necessarily, just means that they are merely going from A to B and could care less about their car or what other people are driving.

 

I think Infinity is overplayed as "yuppy". They make nice cars and all, but it's not a Benz (which are crap now anyways), or a Volvo (Soccer mom), or a SAAB (Total Yuppy, LOL).

 

I am just so use to waving high or flashing my highs and when people turn the other cheek it makes me feel like an idiot.
