Default HELP! Wheel Repair Experts!!??

Hey Guys,

Unfortunately, I recently took a trip to the car wash, one in South Carolina outside charleston, the Cactus CarWash.....And those mothereffers messed up my two driver's side wheels, just a tid bit. When they gave the car back, they were inspecting it, and was like "everything looks good right?" I just said whatever and left, because I knew that if I argued with them, it wouldn't get anywhere.

Anyways, I'm looking for a place now that could repair my scratched WORK Emotion CR Kai in Bronze. I talked to a wheel repiar place in Annapolis, and he said he wasn't sure if they would be able to get the color right. Hopefully its possible. But does anyone know another good shop that they have used before, or heard great results about repairing aftermarket wheels? PLEASE HELP ME! I can't stand having scratched wheels! It hurts my heart, and my rep! hahahaha

Any input would be awesome you all. Thanks!

-Paul

i had some curb rash on some rh j8. went to a place in annapolis, they wouldn't touch my wheels. went to wheel worx in millersville and they wouldn't touch my wheels either. i ended up fixing the rims myself and painting them. i did go to ye olde wheel shop for new tires and mounting. they were pretty good and reasonable in price. i would go back again.

Ye 'Ole Wheel did my Gewalt Evolutions on my old Integra. They looked brand new when they were done with them. Excellent work. I paid a pretty penny though (3 pc wheel). For 4 wheels I think I paid $750

I can't believe no one asked you this....

why did you take your car to a car wash?

1st, its chit for your paint.
2nd, a lot of them push your car on a rail system, the rails ride along side of your tires to keep the car on track, guess what happens when you have really low profile tires?

I guess lesson learned.

You're looking at about $175 per wheel to fix if you want them redone. GL!

I don't want them compelety re done, but just the little marks along the edges retouched. I dont know, Im expecting to pay a lot unfortunately : (

And I even asked the guy running the car wash if my wheels were too wide for the track, and if it wouldnt scrape, and he was like yea its fine, it will clear. and sure enough got effed up. I just shouldnt have washed it. UGH

Oh well. Maybe this is an opportunity for some one-off work emotion cr's
