cuz i did too till this.
ive had the exhaust for maybe 6-7 months. never seen Salt snow etc.
never hit anything with them. not a scratch on the whole exhaust.. never bottomed out on them either.
ill let the pics tell the story.
gonna take it home.. Stainless steel welding is tricky as ****.
anyone know if a Tig can weld SS?

thats what it be looking like. Thats sucks bro! I usually only see these with chinese ebay knock-off stuff but sucks even worst when its brand name like Greddy. Then again even Lambo and Ferrari have to get serviced/warrenty work regardless of how much they cost.

I believe it is what part you buy. IMHO I believe that several people in the import world pay way to much attention to the "name brand" of a item instead of what it actual does, is or quality. I have used several "knock off" in the day and they stood the test of time better than most of the "quality jdm" products on the line. I even remember in California there was a company who used knock off parts and put their names on the item and would sell it as theirs. Parts like exhaust components you can get away with buying for a cheap price because their sole purpose is for your car to breath or even external pieces (i.e. body, interior , etc). IMHO i believe the only pieces you should shell out some cash is anything that goes into your engine or can modify greatly the internals of that engine.

Issues like that occur with every manufacturer. Just because you have an issue doesnt mean the next guy will or vice versa. Greddy is quality $hit. With that being said I used to have a Greddy exhaust on an old car, and no BS when I hit 2nd gear I heard this wraaaaaa as Im WOT. Pulled over got out and the muffler weld broke clean off the pipe, running essentially an open pipe'd car. Pretty lame and funny.

My Greddy EVO2 Exhaust was what I had for 4 years on my show car. Coupled with HotShot Headers and a full ungraded engine and years of high revving it never got a scratch on it. Never turned rusty or anything.. I say dont blame to product. Dude, from the looks of that, thats abuse....

had Apexi N1 on my S13 for 4 years and pass thru 4 different cars and I bought it used. It was abused more then a red headed step child (tons of autox and drift)but never a problem out of it. Way back when I had a Stillen exhaust on B14 SE-R, bish broke within 6 months and 1 autox event. Guess its just the luck of the draw or in this case weld.
