Normal or Abnormal wear on Supercharger Pulley

Default Normal or Abnormal wear on Supercharger Pulley

Looks abnormal to me but just curious from all my procharger fellas.

it is wayy to tight..

try loosening it up and having it feel like a timing belt. a little slack.. but not enough to skiup teeth.

ya cog belt dont need to be anywhere near as tight as serp belts. thats a good bit of wear.

im surrpised it hasnt either snappe dor made a lot of noise.. and vibrations yet.

Yup that's definitely wearing. Which psi is that pulley? Loosen up that belt!

u want a 1/2 inch of play goin up and down when u push on the belt...roughly 15lbs of pressure according to procharger...i still have the manual....lol

Not to mention it will put un-needed wear on your pully bearings, and cause more parasitic loss.

Thanks for the help fellas. No vibrations or issues with belts snapping yet! haha But I did loosen the belt as described with 1/2 play. This is the 7lb pulley. Anyone know where I can upgrade the pulley other then calling procharger? Might as well upgrade pulleys and buy a new belt now ya know

Try searching the classified section.

Remember, as you upgrade the pully, you add PSI. Make sure you are set up to add more boost, so you don't damage or blow anything.

AAM is one of the authorized dealer for ATI parts. You can get up to I think 17 lbs pulley. But be prepared to spend a lot of money on replacing the front cog belt.
