Default Comcast Customer Service sux b@lls!

So what is going on with these monopoly cable service companies' service? So a week ago I went online and ordered my service. The guy on the phone was absolutely rude to help me setup my account and just wanted to get things over with. Finally got it scheduled to be installed on today. The installation time is scheduled to be between 7am to 10am... uh? I was informed during setting up the account that I would get a phone call 30 minutes prior to the installation. I never got any phone call obviously and the guy showed up after 10am. The guy's some straight up ghetto kid that I did not even want to mess with. Dude randomly setup my equipments and left in a hurry(later I found out he spitted a thick one in front of my front door). A few minutes after he left my cable TV stopped working... So I called Comcast and talked to a girl with heavy accent who told me the tech will give me a call within 15 minutes and come back today to fix it. So 15 minutes soon passed by and no call. I called them back an hour later and this sweet lady tried to troubleshoot the issue by telling me to turn off and on the cable box for about 5 times... Obviously that didn't fix the issue. So she entered some new notes in, looked up the tech's info and further confirmed that the tech will show up today. So 3 hours later at around 4pm.. still no tech, no call. I called and some dude picked up. This guy looked up my account, told me the tech will stop by before 5pm and literally HUNG UP ON ME! WO!!!! I didn't even catch the name of the guy so I had to just let it slide... So 5pm finally came and still nothing. I officially took a day off just to get the cable working and it is still not complete. So I called Comcast again thinking to yell and scream and talk to a manager about the issue. I came across a really technical lady who looked up my account and saw a "coding issue" right away and fixed it on their end... What a day?!?!

Sorry for ranting but it seriously pissed me off.

My luck was such, my apt unit didn't face the "right" part of the sky. So I was happy as crap at 1st with the satellite option, only to get screwed by the location of my unit lol. Figured god wanted me to have cable.

I watched verizon install fios on my street.
I watched my neighbor get it installed (next door) and watched his TV.
I answered the door when techs were going house to house signing people up for fios. (did not want it then)
I call verizon to switch and they tell me that it is unavailable in my neighborhood.

LOLWTF.

I still had the card the tech gave me, gave him a call, and he requested something, calls me back and says there are unavailable fios lines to my house.
Should be getting a call sometime this month.

Oh and comcast...lol.
Signal goes out at least 5 times a day.
I download Top Gear, season 12, episode 6 (yes!) and my bandwidth is murdered.
Certain channels have lower and higher volumes than others (MTV and TBS) being one of them.

Comcast does suck. I used them for cable internet and phone, only because Fios isnt in the area. The comcast guy left a phone jack connected outside the wall, was supposed to come back to fix it and never did.

Direct TV > anything....

+1
I called to have a DVR added to my account and my bill jumped by $70 (according to them they billed me one month in advace)
After hunting down an associate I finally get things resolved and even updgrade to a cheaper package (somehow I was paying more for a lesser package).
Get my bill this month and It's $90 more than normal because the bill you one month in advance again.
I'm about ready to switch to satellite. All this headache just to add a box that was going to increase my bill by just $5

If it makes you feel better it took Comcast 2 years and around 7 different technicians to fix my Cable/Internet problems. Everytime it would rain I would lose all HD channels and my Modem would go out. They tried to tell me the wiring in my house was too old but eventually they dug up a few lawns and replaced the drop from my house.

you will be lucky if you get to talk to someone in the U.S. when you call for technical support.
