Finally after over 2 years they got me.
I havent had a front tag on for over 2 years and the Baltimore county boys finally decided it was time for a ticket.I still dont understand why we have to have a front tag and a lot of other states dont use one.

Just tell em you got into an accident and you already made an appointment with infiniti to get a plate on, but since this is a custom bumper, it'll take awhile for them to fabricate one for you. *insert enthusiasm for pending front plate placement here* (make sure to practice ur acting skills) Works for me everytime!

I'm friends with a bunch of AA guys, from what they tell me, and I guess it's what they're told from the people up top, people sell their front tags or get them stolen, another person goes around checking mailboxes til they find an MVA letter with the renewal stickers, you place the stickers on the front tag and you're good to go. or you just got to the MVA and buy new stickers and sell them.
the whole idea is to keep fake tags off the road.
might be BS might be truth, who knows. I got busted a fe months back for no front tag, I told the officer straight up I never drive the car but maybe 500 miles a year, showed him my mileage, and told him to take a look at the car, it was nothing more then a toy, I had no desire to mount a front tag, he told me if he saw me again he'd give me a fix it ticket and force me to put one on......
thanks buddy!
thankfully most AA police are not to shabby, he was kind of a dick.
When I get around to it, I plan on making a custom bracket that mounts to your radiator support, it will have some sort of quick disconnect so you can mount/unmount a front tag to the point where you wont be able to see the mount anywhere.
Install tag when you drive it, show up at a car meet and remove it.

Is it a fix-it ticket? If so, get a Z bracket and use that for your appearance. Then take the Z bracket off.
I got a ticket at the LAX parking lot, I paid the $25 and figure I won't use LAX parking anymore. Didn't have to show up so, f it.

Only $25? In Cali they don't give you warning tickets.. and the tickets they give are $100 each! For $25, I'd probably just risk it (Hell, I'm still risking it right now for $100! I'm not the original owner of my car and it never came with a front plate)
