I gave em a call at 6pm and told em that my car won't start (2.5 RS.) Actually... it hasn't started for about a week now and has been sitting there at my gf's house collecting dust. Apparently the factory alarm decided to arm itself and immobilize the car and disabled my remote... great... so now im totally locked out. I called a few performance shops in the area, some being 10 mins down the road and they told me to tow it over... yeah right, who are you kidding? It's $75 alone to just hook my damn car up to the flatbed and $3 per mile, that's $100 to "look" at it... psssht! I called up Kieran@DrivenDynamics and the ricer actually offered to drive from his shop (Rockville MD) all the way down to Fair Oaks area... that's like 1hr!!! Just to look at my issue. That's like +100 pts in customer service.
Took us maybe an hour of tinkering with the dash wires and trying all the "alarm override" options... no luck. Apparently the noob who had this car before installed a aftermarket alarm and then tried to reinstall the factory alarm and jacked everything up. 2-3 hrs later in the freezing 30 degree weather, we finally narrowed it down to a few wires to splice in order to hot wire the biotch. And whadda ya know... it started right up!
I drove it back to his shop where he ripped out all the old wiring and hooked me up w/ a aftermarket alarm system w/ 2-way pager remote and a remote starter.. sweeet! I told em to go ahead and tint the car as well so he hooked it up with his special "carbon fiber tint" (what a freakin ricer) yes, the tint has some kinda carbon fiber in it (some new crap who knows?) so that it doesn't interfere with radio/gps/xm signals as most other tints do (the metallic kind.)
I have the metallic kind of tint in the Z and the same type of alarm and I literally have to stand next to the damn car to unlock it. The new tint in the RS enables me to be at a further distance and still have the ability to start/unlock my car! This is some cool chit!
I got an awesome deal on both alarm + tint job and couldn't be happier. I drove out of the shop and went back home. However, I noticed the next day that my e-brake light + battery light is on all the time. Now this only happens when your battery is dead and your ebrake is up.. but NOPE! It's on all the time.. how annoying! I called him up again at 9:30pm and told him what was going on. He told me to go meet him up at his shop... we were there till about 11:30pm figuring out the bug (what a great way to spend a Friday night
) Even though it's an easy fix, most shops would just tell you to drop it by tomorrow, another +100 pts in customer service.
The Best Part: of the extra 5-6 hrs he spent diagnosing the car and meeting me up at some crazy times of the night + driving 2-3hrs both ways multiple times, he didn't charge me a dime for it. Not a SINGLE Dime. If you really want to do the math, 5-6hrs x $89/hr (labor rate for this type of stuff) that comes out to be $534 that wasn't even charged (gas not included either!) Hell... that's more than the bill for the entire job!
Cliff Notes: THANK YOU!!! (what more can ya say for a job like that?)

Side Story:
On the way home, it was pouring down rain... people were driving like turtles. I drove at my usual pace on the highway home and passed a modded EG Hatch. He was in the middle lane and I passed on the left. Next thing you know, this joker was tailgating me.
The whole time my gf was babbling away gossiping about ppl and not knowing what's going on. (There is a freaking ricer tailing me hunnie!) I suppose the guy thought i was "driving spiritedly" when this is actually my normal pace. Seemed like he had a tough time trying to keep up... even in a straight line, bad weather and 185 series tires will do this to you noob.
So the guy finally decided to get infront of me showing off his insane vtec and superior driving skills. I let em get 10 cars ahead for fun, cuz I was going to take the "short cut exit" next. If you're traveling 495 west bound toward VA, there's a bridge area u have to drive around which takes an extra 7 seconds. I took a short cut exit and went around this bridge and ended up infront of him by like 20 cars.
As expected, the ricer was flabbergasted and could have sworn he passed me 30 secs ago only to find me way ahead! LOL!! And once again, I see this idiot weaving in and out of traffic to catch up to me. He comes up beside me and starts honking his horn. And I'm like wtf do you want you noob? His tint was dark as night so I couldn't see who the crap was in there. Not like it matters cuz he's about to be blown away anyways. Say "hello to my taillights! Try to keep up!" I took the exit ramp toward the "fun roads" here's where all the excitement happens. Ricer falls straight into the trap and FOLLOWS me home... what a idiot. The guy had a New York license plate, so obviously he's not local and doesn't know what's "coming up," hahahaha.
If you've never been on these roads, it's scary as hell since it's 1 lane, full of blind corners and turns... not to mention it was pouring rain so if you don't have good traction, you're screwed buddy. Any mistake will put you in a 6 ft. ditch. There are NO RAILS! "Have Fun following!" I went ahead and utilized my AWD for these conditions and blasted through the first few corners. And as expected, the joker couldn't make turn #1 with his skinny azz tires and stock suspension. I guess he thought I was taking an exit full of straight roads? I don't understand these guys... really... if you're going to mess around (especially in this weather) at least know some fundamentals like weight shifting so you don't fly all over the road trying to follow someone!!!
The best part is, my gf didn't know we were trying to lose someone the whole time. She just blabbered away with whatever was on her mind, it was cute.

Corey, I believe I remember that robbie did your tint but I think he was with fresh designs. I know he was not with driven dynamics. Didnt know if you thought they were the same or you were just saying they were both good.
but arent they like next door and associated with one another anyways? College Park
