I don't own any guns so I haven't been paying attention to Obama's plans for gun control. What are his ideas and what does he want to outlaw? Is it pretty much everything except for things used for home defense such as shotguns?

In that case, it sounds like I should go out and pick up a few pieces before it becomes difficult. For someone my size I was thinking about a Desert Eagle 50 cal. hand gun and then Integrity's idea of a smaller shotgun for home defense.

Need/want info on the shotgun [i.e. pricing, ammo, etc...]
Like I said in the other thread, it's amazing none of you have thought to have a meet and then head up to a local range for some practice...

I paid ~$200 for it back in 1995. I bought it used from shop in Pikesville, across from the MD State Police barracks. I'm not even sure if the shop is still there. Also, I'm not sure you can purchase one with the pistol grip and folding stock, but you can always modify it yourself.

Obama and the Dums will take whatever they can get away with. EBRs are going to be history.

If you like your guns, join the NRA today, don't wait till tomorrow, go to the website and join... There is no other organization that will really look out for your Constitutional and natural rights to own firearms. There are other pro gun organizations out there also, but the best bang for the buck is the NRA.

As far as the DEagle goes, unless you are 6'8" and weight 300 pounds of pure muscle, I would not bother. I am a Recoil junkie, I did not enjoy shooting the DEagle .50 at all. I put a magazine through one once, I would not shoot one again. Also a DEagle is not a beginner gun. They are gas operated and temperamental, if you get lazy while shooting it, it turns into jam city.
