Default FAIRFAX COUNTY P.D. ahhhh!

This mornning sarted off the same as every other tuesday with my 11:00am cummute to GMU. Im merging of the toll Road onto 7100 and a little way down the boys in blue show up right behind me. He proceeded to tail me and I can see him running my plates. Im thinking ehh no problem Im legit, to my surprise he speeds up and gets side by side with me then slows down and gets right back behind tailing me. We were coming up on a red light on the intersection of west ox and the prkwy he got in the right line as if he were turning on West ox. Im thinkin yea F U a hole! the light turns green And I start moving with the line of cars in front of me, Bam, there he was cocked in the opposite direction in the right turn lane waiting for me to roll up. I passed him and he fliped the switch and pulled me. I know better than to appear to be rusling around the interior while 5-0 is pulling. That being said I did not attempt to hide the radar detector since it was unpluged before the day started. Officer Deutch bag was like Im Sargent Blah Blah Blah and the resaon im pullin you over is the cracked windshield and your illegal radar detector. ****! Im like sir I drive to M.D. Frequently and thats when its powered on. Hes like no no no I saw you reach for it to try and Hide it. ********, I know better than that, I would like to stay in my car, preferably not shot. He gives me the tickets and starts following me again with his windows down, Im thinking **** hes gonna pull me for the smell comming out of the exhaust. I kept it to a minimum rpm and luckily he pulled off. I was just talking the other day about not getting a ticket in two years, Oh well. Has any one ever had to pay a detector fine, how much? And with the windshield if you get it fixed and show the judge proof will they drop the fine? Communist Wealth FTL!

Dude, Seriously with the countless threads on here about the Fairfax County 5-0 why ride around with you radar detector mounted in the window? Your asking for trouble. They love writing tickets to Z guys. Unless you have a pair of Triple E's and you weigh 85 lbs you'll get it, but not in the good way.

Good luck.

At least you didn't get a ticket for going 10 over in a 55.

GL with the ticket

I lived in Fairfax County for a year and I got pulled over like every other week for something stupid. The funniest one had to be when Anh drove my car to pick me up from Dulles Airport. "Everything on your car is illegal!"

Studies have shown that in times of recession traffic tickets significantly increase (no bs).

I try not to give them any reason to pull me over.

If you think about it, a cop pulling you over for no front plate has to be pretty darn bored.

Clip your radar detector where your visor sits. I got pulled once... actually no, twice.. or maybe 3x with it sitting there, the cops never saw it.

VA is definitely going to be giving more tickets in at least the short term because right now they are trying to close that budget gap, and sooo much money is generated by traffic violations in the state. Thats why I am glad I stay in MD. Good luck though

You guys should seriously look into the K40 stealth setup. After brakes, wheels and a new exhaust I'm thinking about getting one. Rather than have a tell tale cord or obvious visor mount, the K40 is built into the dash and only the driver can actually see it. You get 2 flashing lights as indicators: one for front radar and one for rear.

Call Doug from Fresh Designs for more info: 410-696-2936

Cop pulled me once and looked in my car and thought my Defi link was a radar detector.
