+1 for where the nothern leg will meet up with the RVA leg.

I think it would be cool to meet at the Diamond baseball stadium. Right off of 95 in the center of richmond then we can hit 64 E and go on our way.

 

well its faster for us to hit 295 sout east and join u all outsdie the city limits. ill look into the rest stop ext # but there is only one rest stop outside the city on I64 E if i am not mistakenm

now the richmonds folks can meet at the stadium then meet us at the rest area? hows this all sound.

you are talking about the rest stop out there by Colonial Downs, right?

 

yeah its fairly new looking. I just know it from when I295 meets I64, its not too long and its on the right side of the highway. Maybe there is a truck stop there also. Ill try to google map it. and post up a direct picture and exit #

 

the NOVA crew will meet the Richmond Crew off of exit number 205 New Kent Highway exit! route 249 and 33 also near 60. Its is located here. THIS IS NOT THE REST STOP AREA!!

However this is the first exit once I295S and I64E merg. I will have my cell and we can call one another once the Richmond guys find a spot to park 6 to 10 or so cars saftely. I have no idea whats on that exit! Please stay to the south side of I64 so that merging back on the highway is a breeze!

that sounds like a good place to meet up. Prob some gas station, motel, or mcdonalds close off the exit where everyone can meet. For any RVA Z's, do u plan on meeting at the diamond before hand or just exit 205?

I would like to meet at the diamond if it is convenient for everyone. It's only 5 min from my house so it's super convenient for me.

 

I'll meet you guys wherever in Richmond. I'm coming from Midlothian (Huguenot/Robious intersection) so anywhere in RIC is on my way to 64E anyway.

Anyone else who is in the Midlo area can meet me at the starbucks next to Burger King in the Bellgrade Plantation center. I'll be there around 8:30 that morning and we can roll out to meet the rest of the Richmond people 8:45.

I should be there...we are meeting on the side of the mall that is closest to I95... the side were the Circuit City is located.

I think near entrance one! Look for this car! LOL I will be on the outer ring area....not close to the mall. I will be faaar away from the mall but in the parking lot. We had folks looking around in the rows for us one time...

Hooters is usually the end trip and many folks head out at there own leasure... Id say the earlier the better because of Sunday traffic, but since Friday will be bad, i dont think many will travel away this weekend so Sunday headed I95 north should (cross fingers) be OK.

I am from that area and if I can get incontact (which I havent been able to yet) with some old military buds, I may stick around for a few after the meet.

But the convoy usually leaves around 230-3pm....depends...some of us stayed at Hooters for like 3 hours because the Race was on! LOL
