*Dialing 9-1-1*
"Hello where are you located?"
*gives her location*
"What is your emergency today?"
"Well... I really don't know where to begin... lets start off with... there's a F*#!ing big azz FIRE on this road!!!"
"Where is the fire located?"
"blah blah blah" I get out of my car, camera handy ready to snap some pics:

Apparently the fire was trickling down close to the street where I usually do my practice sprints. I walk toward the flame, the heat could be felt from a pretty good distance... I knew this fire was only going to spread and potentially catch the entire forest on fire not to mention all the houses in the surrounding area if left unattended.
*bZzt... BzzZzt*
"What's that noise? Some kind of animal?" I looked up. Didn't see anything... "hMmm... how odd..." It was so dark outside, couldnt' make out anything above me... oh wait.. what is that? I see a flash of light from above my head. I squint to get a better view of what was flashing. It's a little too cold out for fireflies... hMm...
*FLASH!!*
There it goes again! What in the WORLD is that...
*Flash flash BzzZT BzzTT!!*
It flickered bright enough for me to make out what it was. High above my head was a broken power line with electricity flickering. I look further... there was a tree that was leaning against this line!

"OH $H!&!!!" that sucker was going to snap any second and I'm some fool standing right below taking pictures like an idiot. I stuffed everything in my pockets and freakin' RAAAN!! Holy cow, that was a close call. Sparks were flying from the line right onto where I was standing lighting up random debris and leaves/logs on fire around me.
Hopped back into the car and gunned it through the road. Confirmed my location with the officer on the phone.
"Are you in a safe location sir?"
"Yes I am... now"
"Are there any houses around the area?"
"yup, 3 houses, and all 3 are about 50ft away from the fire... I'm surprised no one called this in yet! This sucker is blazing high and smoke is everywhere!"
The rest of what happened can be seen here.
(ignore the title, part 1 is boring)
I managed to ninja my camera and record the whole incident while the firefighters were doing their job.

Yeah i know right! This sucker was going on for at least a few hours... I can't believe that 3 freakin houses (occupied AND awake) were a mere 50ft away and NO ONE called in!
The subie of course, still learning and advantages/disadvantages of AWD on these roads.
I have a buncha other crazy experiences, haven't had time to do my write-ups yet, puhahaha
In fact, I think I'm going to do a prequal to all my chapters (coming soon)
Side Note* One of the houses occupies this dude that keeps on calling my house telling me to slow down. Like... what an **** mother f'ker. The road is 1 lane and he thinks that "a loud exhaust note" indicates "speeds of 1000mph+" and constantly blows up my house phone saying I'm driving too fast when I'm driving the posted limit. Now I can officially tell him, "if it wasn't for me, you'd be at some apartment complex waiting for your damn house to be restored!"

It's the one right next to mine
Did I ever tell you the story of the neighbor who called the cops on me and had a trooper stationed outside my neighborhood to wait for me and I took the other way out?
Or how about the time where this other neighbor ran after me with a newspaper... trying to whack me as I drove by yelling "SLOOOW DOOOWN!!! ArRRggH!!!" I had to swerve to miss his azz! It's insane. From then on, everytime I see him. I stop the car infront of his house, pop it in 1st, and do a massive burnout.
And the best part: in all instances - I was going the speed limit
