Default traffic ticket any suggestion ?

Hi

I got a ticket on Old Georgetown Road because to fail at the red light. I actually stopped at the red light but i passed the white solid line on the road and I was not blocking the intersection at all. My mistake is it happened twice.. There are crazy amount of traffic light on OLD Georgetown road so at the first ligth i stopped but passed the white solid line little bit. Second traffic line , the same thing.. I was not speeding or trying to catch the yellow light but somehow I could not stop..

The cop stopped me after the second light. I have no idea where he came or saw me but I explained him that it snowed yesterday and I did my best to stop and i did not pass the red light.. He gave me a $140 ticket.. Should I go to court or just pay the fine ? Any points taken for this violation ? Any suggestions ?

One time I passed the yellow light and they pictured and send me a fine for $75 but this time $140 and i did not pass at all. I stopped but crossed the white solid line . So what should I do ? Thanks..

But is it worth to go court for $140.. It might even cost me more than $140 ? If I pay $140 any points taken ?

Just go to court and shows some proof about the weather.com like a print out from weather.com, you'll get off this one easily.

I believe its a moving violation with points. Don't know how many though. Looking for that now.

I am looking at the ticket but it does not say moving violation on anywhere .. It only says prepayable other amount $140..

The thing is I tried to do full stop at two traffic light , i did but passed the white solid line 2 times. So, the cop told me that i did the same mistake twice. I said i did not want to slide and occur an accidedent . Then he said the street is dry and i might be speeding . But i was not speeding , i just want to stop with my best ability but passed the white solid lines ..

If i go to court and plead not guilty for explanation, do you think these excuses will be accepted ? I mean if the court charges will be $300 then it will be waste of time and money.

if you're innocent, you don't pay anything. That's a BS ticket btw.

I still dont see how you get a ticket for stopping at two red lights. I mean was the charge "failure to stop" or was it "didnt stop at the white lines". Seems to me court is the way to go. I mean.... you stopped..... Nuff said.

On the ticket it says fail to stop at the red light.. But the officer told me that, I was in front of the white solid line two times at the traffic light.. Summary, I stopped at the traffic light and i did not block intersection or other cars. Everybody was able to pass ...

If i had slammed the brakes and tried to stop before white solid line, i might have slide the car and cause an accident. But the officer did not accept this fact and gave me the ticket..

Fight it and invest the $140 on better brakes.

I guess I will go to court and defend myself because I stopped at the red light , i did not pass or do anything wrong.. This was a really easy ticket, he could have warned me at least but he just gave me a ticket for that.
