if you don't mind driving to cumberland, md, i am the advisor at a tire shop. i can install (mount, balance, etc.) that tire (b.f. goodirch) for $310. tire rack wants $305 for just the tire, no installation. i have a wholesale account with tire rack, usually 10-25% less than their retail prices. like i said, it's a bit of a drive, but i can definitely save you money on tires.
Kumho Ecsta SPT's. I have them, they're pretty good. Cheap as well. Get your local discount tire to price match Tirerack (but it'll be cheaper to still order from tirerack directly cause you do not have to pay tax).

Just had some Falken 452s put on a few weeks ago. They felt a little weird driving around until I checked my pressure and realized these a$$holes underinflated them. They're pretty good in the rain [so far].
I just went up from 17 to 19 and the change in price was... so I feel your pain.
I'm getting the Yokohama Advan Sports - the best compromise of performance vs. quality I could find based on the reviews I read. Still, at $295 each they are a little pricey. That price is for the 285/35-R19 from TireRack.
^are those the ones that come stock on evos, if so there money, i get scared when my boy whips around his evo, but then again its awd, but none the less they dont give up any grip

That would be an affirmitive:
FULLERTON, Calif. (Jan. 2, 2008) – Yokohama tires are standard equipment on all trim levels of the all-new 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution (EVO), introduced during the recent Greater Los Angeles Auto Show. The ultra-high-performance Yokohama A13C tires in size 245/40R18 carry a 93Y load and speed rating and ride on 18 x 8.5 inch Enkei cast aluminum or BBS forged aluminum alloy wheels, depending on the model level.
“We’re pleased that Mitsubishi has chosen Yokohama for this important new vehicle,” said Jeff Carpenter, director, OE sales and marketing for Yokohama. “The Lancer EVO is a performance icon. Our relationship with Mitsubishi has never been stronger.”
