Default Lent is OVER... finally

Just sharing with my Mid-A friends that lent is finally over and I'm getting hammered like its my job right now. I gave up alcohol this year, as I have done in years past, to prove that I can sacrifice and have self control over all things in my life as well. I also kicked it up a notch this year and remained "master of my domain" (for the Seinfeld fans) as well.

If ever there was a year that would have required drinks, it was this year. The failure of my motor build had me on the brink on several occasions, but I made it through and feel like my luck has changed for the better. I'm as happy as I have ben in months right now and will see if I can't make some money online tonight playing poker while all drunked up.

I heard from a little birdie that after Dave puts together your motor that for every 10whp it puts out = 1 drink you have to down. Is that true?

Its possible that it true, unfortunately this last motor I had to drink zero drinks.

I'm pretty sure that right after the dyno session you have to turn up the radio and have a rave .

Got a text from Frank last night asking the same thing. I actually have to work till Thursday next week and then I can get back to my life of liesure and we will definately get together. I have to get down there this week if possible to get the front off my car to get the paint fixed. My painter will fix for free - FTW!! Nice that he stepped up.

Hoping for news on the block today from Justice Racing. If I could go any faster, I would. Its not a matter of money or parts right now, I need the evaluation of the old motor to come back so I can know what I need.

I was lucky yesterday and found a distributor in FL that can source a single Tomei rod for me and have it shipped direct from Japan with a 10 day turn time. Saved appx $975 on that if the other rods are still good.

Drinking again today - man did I miss this...

Just heard from Frank. Two rods need to be replaced and the block is done (as in FAIL, not ready to go), pistons and cams are also done, but I already knew that. The pistons scored the cylinder walls too deep to be saved without sleeving the block. The big day is tomorrow - heads are being evaluated. Dropping turbos off for evaluation tomorrow as well.

Looks like the build just got another $1K expensive to find a donor block to re-build .

Soooo close to just putting the turbos on the stock block right now.
