Default Need Alignment Shop recommendation

Hey Mid-A-ers,

I'm looking for a shop in the Silver Spring area to get an alignment done. Any help would be appreciated - thanks!

I dont know about the other guys around here but I usually take mine to sears -- prices are good. If you want custom alignment just hang out in the garage and tell the guy who's doing it how you want it.

Radial Tire

http://www.radialtire.com/

They are also an SCCA sponsor. You can have them align your vehicle at the specs you request. They can even do 4 corner balancing IIRC.

If you feel like making your way down to VA, you come by my shop. It's called Currys Auto Service. Check out our website @ www.currysauto.com

Curry's broke two of my stock tire pressure sensors when changing a set of rubber. Then they replaced them with new units (did not tell me) and would not release the car unless I paid for the new sensors and mounting/balancing. They also scratched and gouged one of the wheels. I would never take another car there and don't recommend anyone else doing so either.

For all my mounting/balancing and alignment needs I use P Tuning in Manassas, VA. They are actually careful with your car.

Look up Tires Plus in Silver Spring, they have a 3 yr 24k mile warranty so you can get as many alignments as you want within that time period. Just hope your car isn't super lowered though... because if it is then go to Ptuning in Man-Asses or somewhere with an in-ground alignment system. Or take it to Jonflip - he's a good man!

You don't have a turbo Echo do you. I remember that's what the service guy was bragging about when I was in there.

I go to Sears. They only charge around $70 and do it for all four wheels and got my 03 back into spec. Their warranty is only six months but they did a great job the two times I went.

Wayne's Auto in Laurel, MD.

He does a lot of the Spec Miata guys around here. He's also an avid racer...well used to be. There's a place on Route 1 a buddy was telling me about. He's taken his car there before....but it's slipping my mind. He races NASA TT in an STi on steriods. :P
