Default Pulled over by Traffic Officer... Can They Even Give Tickets?

So weird things kept on happening to me in Baltimore. Thank God I'm only gonna work here for another week. So I was leaving work (Baltimore Inner Harbor Area) today and was stuck at every intersection possible as always. They have these ghetto *** over weighted traffic officers at every busy intersection to patrol traffic. Seriously they don't really do a damn thing besides telling cars to go when the light turns green and stop when the lights turn red... So the story was I was making a left turn and ran a yellow light and got stuck right after making the left. Instead of trying to make the traffic moves, the traffic officer came up to my car and told me I ran a red light and asked for my license and registration (Note that at that point I was blocking one valuable lane at 5:15pm on a Friday evening). I gave him whatever he asked for and kept arguing with him that it was a yellow light and there was enough space for one extra car at the lane I was turning into. Finally he "let me go" without anything ticket and said I talked myself out of that one.

Now the big question... Can they even give out tickets?

I thought they were like "reserve" police officers. If he didn't have a gun I think you can assume he isn't a "real" cop, but if he has a firearm then figure he is "real".

Hey Ethan, the same thing happened to me about one year ago (or so)

I was driving into a green light to make a right turn on that intersection and suddenly, the retarded guy lifted his hand for us to stop!

Since it was green, I wasnt ready to stop so when I did I ended up on with my car's nose on the crosswalk.

Since I wanted to get out of the crosswalk I thought on finishing the turn, but the light went red and it had a "no turn on red". I still moved a little until I saw the no turn sign (maybe half a foot at the most).

He pulled me over, asked for my license and went to the back of my car. He took a few minutes there and came back.

After all the blablabla and me saying that the car moved because I stalled it () he "let us go".

The problem is: I am almost certain that he wrote my info on a piece of paper!

I mean, tag and license information (I dont know about the registration though).

Did this happened to you? I think that the guy was hispanic, so he might have got my name for his ****ing cousin!!

The guy clearly didnt have a gun nor any police related item. I guess they're kinda like parking patrol who just writes down your tag number and such. Gay... Wait I mean Homo...

And right at the bottom if this thread I see an advertisement for "Police Force Training: sign up!"
At least you didn't get a ticket! If I'm in my jeep I run everything and keep going, but I believe anyone in uniform cab issue you a ticket. Just don't roll down your window again and say you don't trust anyone in Baltimore that comes to your window
