Default Test Pipes

Looking to get a new set of test pipes to eliminate the wicked rasp in the one's I currently have.

Let me know guys/gals which resonated test pipes help eliminate the rasp.

Was looking at Intense and a few others.

Let me know.

I think you're selling your car Chris!

Anyway, I used to have AAM test pipes with Injen track TD exhaust and it was pretty raspy. Switched to UTR resonated test pipes and OMG it's like day and night difference!

If you don't mind spending the extra cash, get HFCs instead of test pipes. more torque & mid-range hp, no CEL, and no rasp.

I got tired of high-flow cats breaking up after a year of street & track use, so I finally got the Kinetix resonated test pipes. I've been happy with them (had them for about a month now). I think they actually sound better than the high-flow cats (especially when the cats blow out and sound like crap). They were more expensive than most of the others, but they appeared to be good quality (welds, resonator part inside, etc) - not that I'm an expert though.

Blowing out cats seems to be a common complaint....does this happen to everyone? What about if you just daily drive and no track? I really don't wanna pay that much to have them only last a year.

I blew out both CrawfordZ and Berk metallic cats, but I hit it pretty hard on the track. I'm not sure if street driving would be enough to blow them out. Here's a full thread about it: https://my350z.com/forum/intake-exha...f-use-n-a.html

300-400$ for a 2 foot straight pipe is kinda outrages in my opinion.

Very happy with my Fast Intensions RTP's. Its loud, well for my old ears anyways, but no rasp with my HKS Hi-Power.

Really? What a PITA! Awhile back, we switched to custom low cell count metallic cats. So far no problems - we've made over 550whp/wtq on cars which have been run very hard.

I still think HFCs are the way to go for street (test pipes for race). There are a few brands out there, us included, which produce a quality cat that shouldnt blow-out.

I have top speed RTP's and they helped out with most of the rasp but WOT you can still hear some, not as bad as it use to be.
