Joe Gibbs and Joe Gibbs Racing Present: "Game Plan for Life"

Some of you may be familiar with the "Cool Car and Bike Night" events that I put on in the spring, in any case this event will be similar in that we would like a gathering of "Cool Cars" to come out and enjoy a good time. We are looking to put a nice collection of vehicles together on the main sidewalk out front of the church. As the title indicates, this event is in conjuntion with a speech given by 3-Time Super Bowl Champion and 3-Time Nascar Champion Joe Gibbs entitled "Game Plan for Life".

Red, Hot and Blue will be on site providing food and beverages available at standard rates.

Mind if I tag along for show?

 

I doubt that many people here are regular churchgoers and would probably not be open to a religious sermon from Joe Gibbs but I would go just to meet him and hear what he has to say (Joe Gibbs is my childhood hero and I would love to meet him).

 

woodrow88 - Any events done in conjunction with the church have to happen during the week because the weekend conflicts with regular Church services. Hope you can make it out anyway!

Villainous350z - Absolutely, we'll have to get you and Mike D. together on the parking strip

GalvatronType_R - Look forward to seeing you there. Joe will be signing books and may be out and about as well, so there is definitely a good chance of meeting/talking with Joe. We are expecting a rather large turnout

I'll stop by, I met Joe Gibbs when I was 8 years old and got his autograph. I wouldn't mind saying hi again.

 

Obviously you have not been to any of our other events? Staying to hear Joe 'talk' is an option. Our goal (Chicks and I) is to create an auto show prior to the event. Its a bonus to meet Joe and get and autograph. I dont think he is a preacher though, so him giving sermons is a bit of a stretch...lol, his does consider himself a Christian, so that's your call. Everyone believes in something. I believe cars make me tick! LOL

I have yet to hit one MidA'er or NCG'er with a Bible yet! (cross fingers) I dont need to, they run into it all the time by themselves...lol

Anywhere there are exotic and midified cars.... I am there plain and simple.

The cool car and bike night (search for thread) was all about the kids and no one had to duck do to flying Bibles... the kids however had a great time. There is something about a young kid drolling over your car and asking questions that makes you feel proud of the work you put into building a unique whip.

I wonder what it would feel like if one of the Redskins or Joe Gibbs was like.."man this is nice!"

A couple of updates:
1) Famous Dave's will also be providing food for the event
2) Corey and I are in discussions to try and get a Joe Gibbs NASCAR car to the event

you have to pass my house anyways... I want to get there around 430-445 at the latest, so that means being at the mixing bowl around 4pm

Tomorrow night is the night! The weather prediction is for partly cloudy skies with a high around 90, although I would imagine it won't be quite that warm after 5:00pm. I'm expecting a nice turnout of cars for the event, Porsche's, Aston's, Ferrari's, NSX etc., Red, Hot and Blue and I believe Famous Dave's will be there providing food. I hope to see a bunch of you tomorrow night!
