Got some bad news yesterday, my assignment swap was denied because my dang household goods are already in hawaii.

I have to think this one through, I am going to offer that if that is the ony reason for the stoppage that I am willing to incur the cost of moving my goods at my own expense to show the level of sincerity.

I doubt it will make a difference, my branch manager seems to have made up his mind already.

I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason, so maybe this is supposed to be this way.

The only thing that sucks is that when I get to hawaii in February, I am currently slotted to go to one unit but due to them returning from a deployment last month. I am being re-routed to another unit that is deploying in june. I could care less normally but my baby is due on April 11.

Oh well, I guess I will just have to roll with the punches. This is a big WELCOME to the Army for my wife.
