That was also my experience. I made several solo stops, and was approached by several civilians asking polite questions. What kind of cars are these? Is this a club? No one said anything negative to me.

Yeah, once we were over 80 on 66 and they were pulling away from me, I said no mas......I got too many tickets when I had a C5 and I have gotten wiser!

But I had a great time regardless of the cops.....and my "advanced" age!

 

For the record, Police Officers are also civilians

I was upset to hear some of my friends got kicked out for someone elses carelessness. Not cool. Then chen got rear ended because some tourist slammed on their breaks for a deer chowin down some grass But all in all I had a blast! It was such a perfect day, to meet and remeet some awesome people Maybe we should have split into groups from the beginning?

 

Damn deers. Yes, small groups would have been better.

If you see a deer honk at it and hold down the horn. Their pupils detect light from all directions. Their hearing will tell them which direction your coming from.

 

had a great time even with all the bull from the park rangers. it was a beautiful drive. 211 was also a really nice ride down the mountain also. ill post some picks on the other thread. my tags were dead so we left as soon as thier was a problem and had no issues on the way home. My wife and I were in the yellow Z with the CF hood and black rims.

I really want to start a CF project this spring, hood, pillars, mirrors, tonneau cover, and trunk lid.

I t would look sick with the top up too!!! The zstore has most of what I need. I'll need someone to fab the strip at the top of the windshield though.

 

Man I had such a fun time, just wish we all could have stuck together more, and that we didn't get kicked out. Also being up in the mountains, none of us really had service so we couldn't even call each other to find out where we were hahaha Oh well. It was great just like the past few times, but I really was upset that I missed out on getting to go through the rock tunnel. We actually got trailed by a park ranger on our way out to 211. I guess he was making sure that we actually exited the park.... : /

 

OH! And I'll post up pix tonight when I get home. Got some REALLY cool ones of some of you guys speeding around the corners : )
