Question Help Mid-A...Exhaust suggest

Hello Mid-A

I am confined to my ship right now, but at home I have a brand new pair of AAM test pipes waiting...I am also looking for an exhaust and after seeing several examples of the single exits I have decided that is the route that I'm going with...It looks/sounds great. However I have hit a will deciding which exhaust to match up with the test pipes

The AAM Tps have a dia of 2.5"

I was thinking of keeping with AAM products and getting there single exit- dia 3"

The Greddy single- 2.75"

The next mod after this will most probably end up being the AAM Y-pipe which starts at 2.5" then converges to a single 3"

So it would end up looking as such 2.5"----> 2.5"-->3"---->which exhaust

The greddy sinlgle is nice but i think there were some issues with it burning the rear bumper. Im am not sure i just remember reading about it. They might of fixed the issue IDK.

Test Pipes - Labree, need we say more
Y-Pipe - JIC or UTR (study the way they designed their pipes and you'll see why I picked these vs others)
Mid-Pipe and Muffer - Fujitsubo

I don't know too much about single exit exhausts, so I won't comment... but they're very LOUD

I say pick a company and stick with it, they were made to work together

I have the Stillen headers, Stillen high flow cats and Stillen true dual exhaust and it works great and sounds amazing!

I have heard the same exhaust on other peoples cars with mix and match headers and cats/test pipes and it sounds like poop. Just imo, stick with aam if you and you should be just fine.

If the tip/muffler is nothing more then just a resonator and is sized the same ID wise then it really doesn't matter, it's all in the bends they use as with the sizing of the piping leading up to that point, at that point it's just a straight shot out unless its one of those fancy mufflers.

I would go with the Greddy TiC true dual, or APS 3" true dual.

Single exhausts on z's.

Look into the motordyne exhaust systems.

Fuji = WIN I loved mine when I had it, quiet around town and nice and throaty when you get into the pedal.

The APS or AAM 3" duals are overkill unless you are F/I IMHO.

I've got the aam test pipes y pipe and 3 in single on my car. It is indeed loud and I agree its pretty much over kill for a na car. But I LOVE the way it sounds in the lower rpms amazing. I may go back to a dual exhaust later on but I like to stand out a little bit and as you can see single exhaust on a 350z is a bit controversial.

If you want something that's always super loud regardless of rpm, get any headers, any non-resonated test pipes then get the Injen true dual track edition exhaust.

LOL, obviously I am biased towards our products....

But I am also a personal fan of the Fujitsubo Legalis R Exhaust as well as the HKS Hi-power.

I remember some of the AAM test pipes from the earlier batch had a weak welding point. But all the test pipes after that batch don't have that weak point and they perform greattt! I personally had a set on my car for the longest time and they sounded awesome.
